James Gerald Gillick

March 2nd, 2013

James Gerald Gillick of Feasterville passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2013 St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 85.

He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Ann Larmann Gillick for 61 years.

Born in Saddle River, NJ he was the son of the late James and Kathleen Cullen Gillick.

Mr. Gillick was a proud veteran of the Navy who served during World War II. James worked as an Automotive Salesman for Reedman Auto group for several years. He will be sorely missed as a loving and devoted husband, father, grand and great grandfather, and friend.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving children; William Gillick of Raleigh, NC, Ann Gillick and her husband Harry Skidmore of Orlando, FL, James Gillick and his wife Lori of Doylestown, PA, Joan Kane and her husband Daniel of Burlington, NJ, and Albert Gillick and his wife Karen of Southampton, PA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, March 8, 2013, from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, PA 19053.

Interment will follow with Military Honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

Annette T. Lynch (Coogan)

March 2nd, 2013

Annette T. Lynch of Langhorne, PA died peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2013, surrounded by her family at St. John Neumann Nursing Home in Philadelphia. She was 93.

She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Lynch Sr.

Born and raised in Shenandoah, PA, she was the daughter of the late Richard L. and Mary J. Smith Coogan. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Mrs. Lynch was a resident of Langhorne for the past 12 years after moving from the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia. She graduated from Annunciation B.V.M. High School in Shenandoah, Class of 1938. Her faith was an integral part of her life. She was a devout Catholic and a communicant of St. Andrew Church, Newtown. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always enjoyed the special times spent with her family. She enjoyed cooking for all of them and looked forward to their visits.

She is survived by her four children, John J. Lynch Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Langhorne, Richard L. Lynch of Langhorne, Kevin C. Lynch and his wife, Diane, of North Wales, Thomas J. Lynch Sr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Philadelphia .She was predeceased by her son, Daniel E. Lynch. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Rosemary Lynch of Langhorne, her brother, Thomas Coogan and his wife, Jeanne, of Allentown, her sister-in-law, Jean Coogan of Philadelphia, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, March 7, 2013, from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at the Church of Saint Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Keith A. Santiago

March 2nd, 2013

Keith A. Santiago of Yardley, PA died suddenly on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at his residence. He was 36 years young.

Born in Langhorne, PA, he was the son of Pacita Palacios Santiago of Yardley, PA and the late Felixberto G. Santiago, and the brother of the late Kenneth J. Santiago.

Keith had been a resident of Holland since 1982 before moving to Yardley eight months ago. He graduated from Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, Class of 1994. He attended Bucks County Community College where he earned his Associate Degree in filming. He currently was attending Temple University where he was working towards completing his Bachelor degree in movie editing. For the past 10 years, Keith was employed as a grocery associate at Giant Food Store located in Southampton. He had a great passion for movies and the movie making process and truly enjoyed Star Wars, Indiana Jones and collectibles. Keith was a devoted uncle and care taker of his brother. He will be deeply missed as a loving son, brother-in-law and uncle.

In addition to his mother, Keith is survived by his sister-in-law, Tanja Santiago of Holland and his niece and nephew, Tea Marie and Maximillan J. Santiago. He is also survived by his uncle, Lazaro Palacios Jr. of Philadelphia and his two cousins, Sarah and Jonathan Palacios.

Keith’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, March 9, 2013, from 11:30 AM until his Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Joseph A.

Rita C. Ciorletti Saccarelli of Doylestown, PA died peacefully on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Heritage Harbor Rehab Center in Annapolis, MD. She was 82.

She was the beloved wife of the late Romolo Flavius Saccarelli.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Cosmo and Lillian Baldasarre Ciorletti.

Mrs. Saccarelli was a teacher for the Upper Moreland School District for over 21 years.

Rita is survived by her loving children; Gale Saccarelli and her husband Karl Gordon of Annapolis, MD, Dr. Carla Patton of Doylestown, Marc Saccarelli of Florida, Lisa Robbins and her husband David of Richboro, and Adele Saccarelli and her husband Michael Cavallaro of Quakertown. She was also survived by 10 grandchildren.

Samuel Scott Hall

February 28th, 2013

Samuel Scott Hall, of Newtown and formerly of Feasterville, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at his home with his wife by his side. He was 82.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John A. and Margaret J. Scott Hall.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Marjorie A. Whittley Hall.

Samuel was a resident of Newtown for the past 20 years. He was a master plumber and retired in 1992 after 45 years of service.

He was a lifetime member of the Ulster Scottish Pipe Band.

Sam enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid skier. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Sam is survived by his daughters: Mary Lou Ferrick of Bensalem and Lauri A. Dale, wife of Michael of Doylestown; his son: Scott S. Hall, husband of Alison of Churchville; his brother: Winston F. Hall of White Haven; his sisters: Margaret Dunn of Hatboro and Eleanor Marsden of Annville; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Calvary Chapel of Central Bucks, 150 East Butler Ave. Chalfont, PA 18914. Mr. Hall’s family will receive family and friends following the service. Burial will be private and at the discretion of the family.

Robert F. Bruno

Robert F. Bruno of Perkasie, PA died on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 55.

He was the beloved husband of Deborah A. Budzik Bruno for 30 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Anita Ricciuti Bruno of Chalfont and the late Pasquale Bruno.

Mr. Bruno was a resident of Perkasie for 22 years. He graduated from Central Bucks West High School, Class of 1975. For 30 years he was employed as a maintenance mechanic at Penn Engineering Company, located in Danboro, PA. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing the guitar and liked to work in the garden. Frequently he could be found working in his garage where he loved to tinker with anything broken. He was always up for the challenge of takings things apart, fixing them, or at least use them for spare parts. Being family oriented, he cherished the special times spent with his family. He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Sara M. Bruno of Buckingham, Linda Bruno of Perkasie, his brother, David Bruno and his wife, Linda, of Plumsteadville, his two sisters, Teresa Lewis and her husband, Paul, of Pipersville, Gina Bruno of Jacksonville, FL, and his grandson, Anthony Bruno. He is also survived by his uncle, Ralph Ricciuti of Chalfont and four nephews.

Otto J. Mergenthaler

Otto J. Mergenthaler, of Pineville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. He was 73.

He was the beloved husband of 30 years to Susan O’Boyle Mergenthaler.

Born in Langhorne, he was the son of the late Emil M. and Alice Jean Conlan Mergenthaler and brother of the late Lorraine Haase.

Otto was a 1958 graduate of Neshaminy High School. After graduation, he proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner and operator of Van Pelt Provision Company. He was a loving father and grandfather, a lover of animals both large and small, and always a believer in fighting for the underdog.

He enjoyed fishing, walking through the forest and building furniture out of treasures that he found in the woods. Among his greatest accomplishments was building a beautiful intricate gazebo of vines and roots for his wife.

He was a man of many interests, and his main passion was collecting old bottles. He was a pillar of strength and a good friend to many. Otto will be deeply missed and always deeply loved.

In addition to his wife, Otto is survived by his children: Bryan James Mergenthaler of Pineville, Saundra Lee Mergenthaler of Hatboro, and Connie Mergenthaler of TN; his brothers: John and Tom “Pete” Mergenthaler; his sister: Irene Schulman; and three grandsons: Roman Marinucci and Adam and Brent Overholt.

Joseph M. Frezza

Joseph M. Frezza of Willow Grove, PA died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was 84.

He was the beloved husband of Joan Peffall Frezza for 30 years.

Born in Hatboro, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Theresa Bozzuto Frezza and brother of the late Josephine Braunlich and Michael F. Frezza.

Mr. Frezza was a graduate of Hatboro High School, Class of 1947. He served in the U.S. Air Force between 1948 and 1952 with 45 combat missions over Korea. Decorated and honorably discharged, he returned to the Hatboro-Horsham area where he flew for Aero Service Corp. as a mapping pilot. In 1968, he founded Frezza Associates, Inc., providing real estate, insurance, and tax accounting services. Mr. Frezza was involved in several community civic organizations. He was a member of Harry A. Houseman F&AM Lodge #717. For many years he was a ham radio operator and also enjoyed camping in his leisure time. He will be sadly missed as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Noble of Santa Cruz, CA, and his two step-children, Karen Lieberman of Port Jervis, NY and Kurt Lieberman and his wife, Kristen, of Oreland, PA. He is also survived by two sisters, Rosa Callahan of Blandon, PA, Ella (Robert) Foraker of Leesburg, FL and his two grandchildren, Morgan and Andrew Lieberman.

James C. Greenwood, Sr.

February 25th, 2013

James C. Greenwood, Sr., 91, passed on peacefully on February 25th at his home in the company of his wife and family members as was his wish.

Jim was the beloved husband of 69 years to Alice Gibson Greenwood. He and Mrs. Greenwood went sky diving at the age of 77.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Greenwood served as a B-24 pilot during the Army Air Force in World War II. He and his wife Alice, a United States Marine, were married in their military uniforms. They had known each other since kindergarten. Jim was a successful real estate broker and developer and contributed to his community serving as a Northampton Township Supervisor and a Northampton Township Zoning Hearing Board member, President of The Northampton Township Fire Company and was a member of the Trevose Heights Rescue Squad and the Feasterville Businessmen’s Association. Following his retirement at age 55, Mr. Greenwood continued to serve his community as Fire Chief, Emergency Management Agency Coordinator, Fire Marshall and was elected as a District Justice. He counseled inmates at the Bucks County Corrections Center as a Volunteer in Teaching Alternatives. Jim was an avid genealogist and completed the New York Times crossword puzzle daily until his final days. Joyful and vibrant in life he faced his death with courage, dignity and a loving heart.

Jim is survived by his loving children and their spouses, Alice and David DelPizzo, James and Christina Greenwood, Jonathan and Gretchen Greenwood and William and Sandra Greenwood. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Christy DelPizzo, Brian DelPizzo and his wife Angela, Patrick DelPizzo and his wife Viviane, Robert McClure and his wife Christina, Laura Greenwood, Kathryn Greenwood, Jonny Greenwood, and Summer Greenwood, and his five great-grandchildren.

Services and interment will be held privately.
