January 21st, 2014
Frederick M. Powell, of Richboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 43.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of Frederick Powell of Bensalem and the late Margaret Meade Powell.
He is survived by his wife of almost 8 years, Danielle DiPalma Powell, and his daughter, Krista Mackenzie Powell, of Richboro.
Fred was a 1988 graduate of Bensalem Township High School. He had worked in the computer industry as an IT specialist for most of his career.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially archery. As his daughter got older, Fred began sharing these skills with her, going fishing and setting up a small archery range in the backyard for her to practice.
Fred was a loving son, husband and father, and will be dearly missed.

Edith K. Krause of Richboro, PA passed away Monday January 20, 2014 at Southampton Estates. She was 92.
Edith was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Krause Jr.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Courduff Dunlap and sister of the late, Jack Dunlap and Ralph Dunlap.
Edith was a resident of Richboro for over 50 years before moving to Southampton Estates.
She was an accomplished Artist and avid gardener, always having beautiful gardens. She enjoyed traveling, the Caymans, Scotland & the Southwest being her favorite trips. Edith especially loved birds and animals of all kinds. Many a good time was had skiing and on trips to the Shore or to the Black Log Mountains with family and friends.
Edith was dearly loved and is survived by her children, Kathryn Koenig of Erwinna, PA, Gary & Melaney Krause of Quakertown, PA, Gwynne Ebanks of Panama City Beach, FL and also her 7 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren.

Dr. Cameron S. Wilson, V.M.D. of Richboro, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 17, 2014, at his residence. He was 92.
He was the beloved husband of the late Edith Burrage Wilson for 61 years. Born in Richboro on the family farm in the middle of a snowstorm, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Edna Solly Wilson and brother of the late Theodore S. Wilson, Robert C. Wilson and Lucille Jacobson.
Dr. Wilson was a 1939 graduate of Richboro High School. He then continued his education at Penn State University in the School of Agriculture, Class of 1941and went on study veterinary medicine and received his degree from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinarian School, Class of 1948. Following graduation he started his practice in Richboro which he operated for 51 years prior to his semi retirement in 1999 and eventually retiring completely in 2001. Throughout the years he lovingly cared for both large and small animals.
He was a joint master of Fox Hounds of Huntingdon Valley for over 10 years. Dr. Wilson hunted all over the eastern United States and was well respected as a Master. During a hunt in l988 he fell and broke his neck. After his recovery he started driving carriages, both single road carts and pairs, and also competed in both types. Until recently he could be seen driving a single road cart in Tyler Park.
Dr. Wilson was appointed to the State Board of Veterinarian Medical Examiners by Pennsylvania Governor Richard Thornburg. He was a member and past president of the Bucks Montgomery Veterinarian Association, a recipient of the Northampton Township Living Tree Award, a member of the Northampton Township Historical Society, a lifetime member of Addisville Reformed Church in Richboro, a member of the Newtown Rotary Club since 1957, a member of the Middletown Grange and the Northampton Township Historical Society. In addition, he was the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission Veterinarian for Philadelphia Park and Keystone Racing Association for over 20 years. He was also a valuable influence to help develop the Harness Racing Animal Care and Thoroughbred Racing Care. In the past, he belonged to many local farming associations and was a member of the Newtown Reliance Company for detecting and apprehending horse thieves and other villains and prior to his passing was the oldest living member of the organization.
For over 40 years, Dr. Wilson was active with a group of friends who enjoyed playing cards together on a regular basis. He will be sadly missed as a loving father, grandfather and well respected member of the community.
He is survived by his son, Charles C. Wilson, D.M.D. and his daughter, Suzanne W. Carpp, both of Richboro and his loving granddaughter, Emilie Carpp and her husband, Gareth Stevens.

William A. Dewey III of Phoenixville, died on January 17, 2014, his 58th birthday.
Born in Philadelphia he was the loving son of Marianne Gilson Dewey and the late William A. Dewey Jr.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his loving daughter Felicia A. Dewey of Norristown, his brothers Stephen T. and Sara Dewey of Philadelphia, Robert K. Dewey of Lakeland, FL, and Sean M. and Rebecca Dewey of Roxborough, PA and his long time friend Mary Lou Dewey of Lancaster, PA. He is also survived by his granddaughter Leighanna M. Dewey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 1:30pm on Wed. Jan. 22, at the First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville, 865 Main St., Phoenixville, PA 19460. His family will receive friends following the service. The interment will be held privately.

Gerald W. Weber, of Chalfont and formerly of Elkins Park, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Neshaminy Manor. He was 92.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Vincent and Emma Sell Weber.
During the Depression Gerry started working various jobs at a young age to support his family with two years spent in the Civilian Conservation Corps. When the United States entered WWII he tried enlisting twice and was told his eyes prohibited him from service. Ironically he was then drafted and served three years in the Army. He was very patriotic with a great love for his country.
After the war he returned home to work as a truck driver and heating service man for Philadelphia and Leheigh Oil where he stayed until his retirement.
Gerry was a history buff and an avid reader spending many hours at the library. He had a passion for classical music, enjoyed crosswords and had a love of trains and the railroad. He was a kind and gentle man, always a gentleman.
Gerald is survived by his nephews: Thomas Dolan and his wife Patricia of Doylestown, Paul Dolan of Johnstown; and his great niece: Kristen Dolan. He was predeceased by his sisters, Evelyn Ferguson and Frances Dolan.

Helen G. (nee Gibbons) Etzl, of Holme Circle, died peacefully on Jan. 16, 2014.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Michael M. Etz, M.D. Loving mother of Terry Etzl Roseburgh (Robert), Michael M. Etzl Jr., M.D. (Rita), William J. Etzl, and Richard J. Etzl (Madelyn). She is also survived by her brother Paul Gibbons (Marie), her grandchildren; Matthew, Erin, and Adam and numerous nieces and nephews.

Esther Carrie Pfeffer (Delaney)

Esther Carrie Pfeffer, of Richboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Richboro Rehab and Nursing Center. She was 83.
Born in Newtown Square, PA , she was the eldest daughter of the late Paul William and Esther Carrie Green Delaney.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Charles E. Pfeffer.
Esther last worked for Nazareth Hospital as a nurse’s aide in the cardiac unit for many years. She loved gardening and flowers.
Esther is survived by her children: Ruth M. Zarzycki and her husband Dennis of Richboro, Barbara E. Roberts-Baker and her husband Kevin of Wilmington, DE and Charles E. Pfeffer and his wife Bernadette of Alburtis; seven grandchildren: Jason, Daniel, Kevin Patrick, Kevin Michael, Jason, Dennis and Dillon; six great grandchildren: Breanna, Aiden, Lily, Jaicey, Caleb, and Brielle; sisters: Florence Hodges, Joyce Mulhern, and Joan Peterson, and many nieces and nephews.
She is also predeceased by her sisters Gladys Mulhern, Pauline Olsen, and Emily Whiteman and her brothers Paul, Fred and George Delaney.

John Smith of Churchville died Monday January 13, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 74.
John was the beloved husband of 49 years to Edith “Edie” H. Motto Smith.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he was the son of the late George and Freida Smith.
John was a former resident of Philadelphia before moving to Churchville in 1969. He was a graduate of Drexel University and was a self employed Civil Engineer. John was an avid history buff, sports enthusiast and also enjoyed painting. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all who knew him.
In addition to his beloved wife Edie, John is survived by his children Heather Loux and her husband William of Churchville and Craig Smith and his fiancé Ashlie and her children Brooke and Christian of Lansdale. He is also survived by his sister Maureen Cochrane of Delaware, his three cherished grandchildren Adrianna, Gabriel and Aidan and several loving nieces and nephews.

Joseph was the beloved husband of Rosemarie (nee Valletto), loving father of Joseph N. IV (Eleanor), Steven (Susan), Eleanor Casey (Jim), and John (Heather) and beloved Pop-Pop of Erin, Caitlin (deceased), Bridget, Joseph V, Steven, Jillian, Brian, Brittany, Mark, Emily, Jimmy, Samantha, Alyssa, and John Jr. He is also survived by his brother John (Patricia).

Joseph R. Blank of Feasterville, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at his residence. He was 47.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the beloved son of Joanne H. Devlin Blank of Feasterville and the late William F. Blank.
Mr. Blank was a resident of Feasterville for the past 33 years. He graduated from Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, Class of 1984 and later went on to earn his bachelor degree in Business Administration from LaSalle University, Class of 1993.
Joe enlisted and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a founding member, partner and director of operations for Streamline Payroll LLC located in Bristol for 8 years.
Joe was a family oriented individual who loved vacationing with his daughters in Disney World and Canada.
He will be sadly missed as a loving father, son, brother and uncle.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Blank and Allison Blank, both of Lansdale, PA, his three brothers, Hugh F. Blank and his wife, Joanne, of Philadelphia, PA, William J. Blank and his wife, Rosemary, of Langhorne, PA, Michael J. Blank and his wife, Barbara, of Newportville, PA and his sister, Joanne E. Barrett and her husband, Matthew, of Feasterville, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
