William H. Pullis

August 16th, 2015

William H. Pullis of Green Valley, Langhorne, passed away on Sunday afternoon, August 16, 2015, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, surrounded by his loving family. He was 77.

Born in Philadelphia, Bill was the beloved husband of 57 years to Anne M. Kane Pullis. He was the only surviving son of the late John E. and Janet “Jenny” Pullis. Bill is survived by his two sons; Jeffrey M. Pullis and John C. Pullis and his wife Joan and his very special grandson Jake.

He retired after a 34 year career as a State Farm Insurance Agent, with his office located in the Torresdale section of Philadelphia. Bill was noted for the quality and compassionate service he provided his clients, of which many became life-long friends. He was most proud of his philanthropic efforts on behalf of disabled persons and most especially St. Mary Medical Center, whose many good works include the fine care they gave him over the past 30 years. Bill will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday August 21, 2015 at 4:30 pm in the Chapel of St. Mary Medical Center 1201 Langhorne-Newtown Rd. Langhorne, PA 19047

Rosemary Teti, R.N., O.C.N., B.S.N. (Smith )

August 15th, 2015

Rosemary Smith Teti, R.N., O.C.N., B.S.N., of Meadowbrook, died peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. She was 65.

She was the beloved wife of 39 years to Ralph J. Teti.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Mildred Basal Smith and dear sister of the late William J. Smith, Jr., Kenneth J. Smith, Patricia Jackson and Anne Marie Moritz.

Rosemary was a graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls, class of 1967 and went on to receive her Nursing Diploma from Germantown Hospital School of Nursing in 1970 and her B.S.N. in nursing from LaSalle University.

Rosemary was a Registered Nurse for the past 45 years. Her career spanned from her first years with the Former St. Mary Hospital and Germantown Hospital to her more recent work over the last 20 years in private practice and also serving as a Parish Nurse for the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Society. Rosemary was lauded for her knowledge and expertise in numerous areas including Nursing Supervision and specialized care among many others.

Her contributions to the nursing profession will continue to benefit the medical field in Philadelphia for many years to come. She will be missed as a beloved wife, sister, and loving aunt. 

In addition to her beloved husband, Rosemary is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Rosemary’s family will receive condolences on Friday August 21, 2015 from 9:00am until a Celebration of her Life at 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd.(at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment will be private.

James P. Martino

August 15th, 2015

James P. Martino of Holland died peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2015, with his family by his side at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was 53.

Born in Abington, Jim was the beloved husband of 29 years to Karen L. (Seidel) Martino. He was the devoted son of Mary D. (Angelillo) and the late Pasquale C. Martino.

Jim was a life long resident of Holland; he was a 1982 graduate of Council Rock High School. He was a professional barber since the age of 18 who followed in his father’s footsteps. Jim worked along with his father and brother Michael for many years before opening the Holland Barber Shop in 1994.

Jim was a family man, who dedicated his whole being to his wife and children; he looked forward to his time in Wildwood Crest with his family and friends and traveling with his wife and children. He also liked cars especially Mustangs and Corvettes. Jim will be remembered for his generous smile and quick wit.

In addition to his beloved wife and mother, Jim is survived by his loving children Nicholas J., Lauren A., Matthew G. (Mattu), and Christopher A. Martino; his siblings, Linda Yerkes and her husband, Gerald, Charles P. Martino and his wife Barbara, and Michael Martino.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Jim was especially fond of his two nieces, Danielle Nucero (Michael) and Kelly DeRosa (John).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and on Friday at St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Rd. Holland from 9:30am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am. Interment will be private.

Victor Anthony Cozza

August 15th, 2015

Victor Anthony Cozza of Ivyland died Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Chandler Hall Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was 72.

Victor was the beloved husband of 49 years to Marisa Gina Faccia Cozza.

Born in Giovanni Berta, Libya, he was the son of the late Vincent and Theresa Mingacci Cozza and the brother of the late Tony Cozza and Marie Cozza.

Victor was a long time resident of Bucks County who formerly resided in Churchville and the last 15 years in Ivyland. He was a Veteran of the US Army and was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Richboro. Victor had worked for the Postal Service for 33 years and retired as the Postmaster in Bensalem. In his leisure, he enjoyed working around the house and spending time with his 3 grandchildren. Victor also enjoyed spending quality time with his wife Marisa traveling and going to happy hours.

In addition to his wife Marisa, Victor is survived by his daughter Michelle Keane and her husband Christopher Keane of Ivyland, his brother Frank Cozza of Florida, his sisters, Helen Robinette of California and Alice Reeder of Texas. He is also survived by his 3 cherished grandchildren, Justin, Zachary and Madison and his loyal sidekick Annie the family dog.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Friday, August 21st from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Victor’s interment will be privately held by his family.

William J. “Bill” Davis

William J. “Bill” Davis of Richboro died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. He was 75.

Bill was the beloved husband of 52 years to Maryann T. Gresko Davis.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Helen Heinz Davis.

Bill was a former resident of Warminster before moving to Richboro in 1983. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving from 1957 to 1961, and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Richboro. Bill had a distinguished career as salesman, specializing in anesthesia and respiratory equipment until his retirement in 2002. He was an avid sportsman and loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed television crime dramas and especially loved cowboy movies. He will be truly missed by his family and by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his wife Maryann, Bill is survived by his sons, William J. Davis of Yardley and Christopher M. Davis and his wife Amy Lynn Davis of Newtown. He is also survived by his sister Helen of North Wales and his cherished granddaughter Claire.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, August 19th from 9:30am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Interment with military honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown at 1:00pm.

Robert K. Medl

August 12th, 2015

Robert K. Medl of Churchville, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia with his family by his side. He was 51.

He was the beloved husband of Peg Carrigan Medl for 21 years.

Born in Meadowbrook, PA, he was the son of the late Franz Medl and Charlotte A. Loeffler Medl-Dunham and her husband, Matt, of Dushore, PA.

Rob was a resident of Churchville since 1974. He graduated from Council Rock High School, Class of l982 and went on to receive his Associates Degree from Bucks County Community College. For many years, Rob was a chef at various restaurants and country clubs. For the past five years he was employed as a butcher for Heybach & Sons Meat Processing in Warwick. He was part owner of Medl Tool & Die, a family business located in Warminster, PA. Rob was a member of Tiroler Beneficial Society and the Delaware Valley Chefs Association. In his leisure, he enjoyed skiing, travelling, hunting, fishing and gardening. He will be sadly missed as a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.

In addition to his beloved wife and his mother and step-father, he is survived by his two brothers, Eric Medl of Klamath Falls, OR and Chris Medl and his wife, Meg, of Hilltown, PA.

On Saturday August 10, 2015, the world lost an amazing man. Ian Mark Jones of New York, NY and formerly of Yardley, PA passed away unexpectedly in an unfortunate kayaking accident on the Hudson River. His life was filled with creativity. Ian was a successful model with IMG in New York. Not only was he a beautiful model, but he was a beautiful soul. He was a kid at heart, funny, down to earth, caring man. He was a bright light to all who knew him. He was also a talented, published photographer with a special eye for the homeless. His Street Kids Project allowed many homeless youths to transform their lives and give them hope. Ian was a dedicated participant in the AA Organization and through them affected many other lives with his testimony. We love you with all our hearts. Rest in Peace Sweet, Sweet Ian. We will see you again.

He is survived by his mother, Sherron Jones of Yardley, PA; his Aunt and Uncle, Kim and Dave Michie; his two cousins, David and Cameron Michie of Maple Glen, PA; his Aunt Toni Kent and cousins, Stetson Kent and Madison Ortiz of Orlando, FL; and his Uncle and Aunt, James Jones and Maggie Jones of Orlando, FL.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service and Celebration of Ian’s life on Saturday August 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Christian Life Center, 3100 Galloway Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.

There will be an opportunity to greet the family immediately following the service.

Anthony “Tony” J. Rocca

Anthony “Tony” J. Rocca of New Hope died Sunday, August 9, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was 84.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Felice and Giovannina Ianucci Rocca, the brother of the late Phil and Rosa and father-in-law of the late Leigh Rocca.

Anthony was a former resident of Yardley before moving to New Hope in 2002. He began his distinguished career over 45 years ago in the insurance profession as a public adjuster and eventually started his own business, Anthony J. Rocca Associates located in Lawrenceville, NJ. Anthony was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict and in his leisure spent quality times with his family especially at his home in Holgate, NJ. He enjoyed fishing and cooking and was passionate in traveling and seeing the world. Anthony will be truly missed by his family and by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.

Anthony is survived by his children, Anthony J. Rocca, Esq. and his wife Linda of Whitemarsh, Gregory Rocca of New Hope and Linda Carl and her husband Floyd of Lower Makefield. He is also survived by his 7 cherished grandchildren, Gregory Rocca, Alexandra Rocca, Anna Rocca, Rachel Carl, Gianna Rocca, Diana Carl and Anthony Rocca and his loving companion Nadine Marty.

Kristine D. Grutza

August 9th, 2015

Kristine D. Grutza of Feasterville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday August 9, 2015. She was 23.

Kristine was the adoring mother of Dylan Rosenthal and the loving girlfriend of the late Matthew Rosenthal.

Born in Meadowbrook, she was a daughter of Michael and Karen Driscoll Grutza.

A life-long Bucks County resident, Kristine graduated from Council Rock High School South and Middle Bucks Institute of Technology with the class of 2010. She thoroughly enjoyed going to MBIT where she studied Oracle Computer Programming. She was employed with Wawa for the last five years where she served in various capacities.

Kristine had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed spending many good times with her family at Knoebels. Fishing with her beloved son, Dylan, was her most recent treasured memories. She was also a lover of animals and cared deeply for their welfare, having volunteered at an Animal Rescue.

Kristine’s spirit simply cannot be captured in only a few words. She will be remembered as an intelligent and vibrant young woman who always made sure to live in the moment. Her kind soul and caring heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her son and her parents, Kristine is survived by her sister, Marie Grutza; her paternal grandfather “Dzidzia” Stanley Grutza; her Aunt Pattie and Uncle Roger Hanisco; her Uncles, Leonard and Steven Grutza; her beloved cousin and dear friend, Brian Hanisco and his wife Evanne and their daughter, Kathryn; and her very best friend, Allie Froelich.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Phyllis Grutza and her maternal grandparents, John and Edith Driscoll.
