Dorothy R. Savryk (Follman)

June 29th, 2016

Dorothy R., (nee Follman), of Chalfont died peacefully on Wednesday June 29, 2016 at Pine Run Health Center. Member of the 1943 graduating class of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School and faithful parishioner of St. Jude’s Church.

She was the daughter of the late Francis and Rose Follman, sister of the late Francis and his wife Kitty, and the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Edward T. Savryk. She was the loving mother of Dorothy R. Savryk-Stevens, Robert F. Savryk,(Barbara), and Eileen C. Wilson,(Christopher), the devoted grandmother of Robert, Christina, Will, Shawn, Mark, and Haley, and aunt to several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her marital and parental devotion, Dorothy "played" as she described her activity in her flower and vegetable gardens daily often toiling until dusk. During her gardening days, she held active memberships in Doylestown Nature Club, DelVal Gardeners and Delaware College Arboretum.

Dorothy’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Jude’s Church, 321 West Butler Ave. Chalfont, PA 18914. Interment will be private in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.

Emily C. Chang

June 29th, 2016

In the early morning of June 29th, Emily C. Chang peacefully departed to join our loving God in Heaven. She is reunited with her dearest sister Ruby and beloved mother Nellie Chen. Emily will always be remembered as the devoted and selfless mother who fearlessly left China with nothing, to give her family everything, a future filled with hope and opportunity. Emily has left behind a strong legacy, a family of four generations who lead their lives everyday with the values that Emily has instilled in them from the start: love, kindness, generosity, and resilience. We will truly miss you Bama. Your spirit lives on within each and every one of us, and we owe everything to you. Thank you for your unconditional love.

Emily is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Kern Chang of Langhorne, PA. Also surviving are her children, Joseph W. of Manhattan Beach, CA; Eugene B. and Susan M. of Chicago, IL; and Ellen G. Chang of Yardley, PA. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Kira Schneider and Brandon Schneider; Laura Chang and husband Kevin Uttich; Jonathan Chang and fiancé Catherine Tan; Kristin Chang and Ryan Chang; and one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Uttich.

Emily’s family is very grateful for the tremendous group of caregivers that have helped Emily and Kern in the recent years: Quena, Mary, Jennifer, Debbie, Nancy, Lori, Abby and Joyce.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5 from 9:00am until the funeral service at 10:30am, at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. Richboro, PA. The Committal service will follow at The Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, NJ.

Ursula Illing (Schulz)

June 29th, 2016

Ursula Illing of Hudson, Florida died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at HPH Hospice in New Port Richey, Florida. She was 78.

Ursula was the beloved wife of the late Emil Illing who passed in 2014. Born in Krefeld, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Anna and Hans Schulz.

She was a former resident of Doylestown before moving to Hudson Florida in 2000. She was employed as a purchaser/secretary for an electronics company for many years until her retirement.

Ursula is survived by her sister, Karla Beck, her brothers Gunther and Reinhard Shulz and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Graveside Services at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 6th in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Prospectville, PA 19002

Kathleen “Kay” R. M. Glenn (McParland)

June 28th, 2016

Kathleen “Kay” R. M. Glenn (nee McParland) of Holland, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 53.

Kathleen was the beloved wife of Lawrence P. Glenn for 29 years.

She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Kathleen O’Hare McParland.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and raised in Newry, County Down, “Kay” as she was known to her family and friends was a resident of Holland for the past 19 years. Educated at Queens University in Belfast, she received her bachelor degree in philosophy. After immigrating from Ireland, Kay became a naturalized American citizen and went to work in the Passenger Relations Department of Trans World Airlines at JFK International Airport. Later she started a career as a teacher’s assistant starting at William Penn Center in Fallsington and eventually working for Council Rock School District at the Richboro Elementary School for the past 14 years.

She will be sadly missed as a loving wife, mother and sister.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her three sons, Antoin P. Glenn, Sean L. Glenn and his wife, Megan, and Padraig B. Glenn, all of Holland, PA. She is also survived by her sister, Monica McParland of Newry, County Down, Ireland and her three brothers, John McParland and his wife, Elizabeth of Kent, England, Brian McParland and his wife, Rosaleen, of Belfast, Northern Ireland and Patrick McParland and his wife, Fiona, of Newry, County Down, Ireland.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday evening, June 30, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 1, 2016, from 8:15 to 9:15 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 and to her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. Interment will take place at a future date in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro, DE.

Dorothy E. McCall

June 28th, 2016

Dorothy E. McCall of Northeast Philadelphia passed away on June 28, 2016 at Richboro Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was 93.

She was the beloved wife of the late Patrick McCall.

Dorothy was a long time parishioner of Maternity B.V.M. Parish before later relocating to Richboro. Along with her husband she enjoyed travelling to Atlantic City casinos. Above all else she treasured her beloved family and to her that was simply everything.

Surviving are her daughter, Patricia A. Les of Holland; her grandchildren, Robert J. Les, Jr., Kelly A. Sweeney, and Karen P. Messick; and her great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Patrick Sweeney, Michael and Andrew Les, and Nicholas and Riley Messick.

Her services and interment will be private.

Barbara A. Rozinski (Meholick)

June 27th, 2016

Barbara A. Rozinski, a Cherry Hill resident for 42 years, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 in Chalfont, Pennsylvania. She was 80 years old.

Barbara was born in Akron, Ohio, in 1936. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Ann Meholick. Barbara married Henry Rozinski of Akron in 1959, and they celebrated 47 years together before he passed away in 2005.

Barbara resided in Cherry Hill from 1972 to 2014, where she raised five children. She was a faithful parishioner at St. Peter Celestine, which later became Christ Our Light. She worked as a secretary for 32 years, including 28 years at Campbell’s Soup in Camden, before she retired in 2005.

Barbara is survived by her five children: Tom Rozinski and his wife Sue, Beth Gray and her husband Dan, Karen Rozinski, Bryan Rozinski and his wife Danielle, and Eric Rozinski. Barbara also survived by grandchildren Zoe Gray, Paulina Rozinski, and Natalya Rozinski, as well as by her brother Edward Meholick, Jr. and his wife Sandy.

Friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, Pennsylvania. Her Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 1, at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Ave., Chalfont, Pennsylvania, which will be preceded by a viewing beginning in the church at 10:30 AM.

An interment ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 6, at Colestown Cemetery in Cherry Hill at 11:00 AM.

Thomas J. Coleman III

June 23rd, 2016

Thomas J. Coleman III of Holland passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his home. His loving wife and children were by his side. He was 77.

Thomas was the beloved husband of Elaine McMullen Coleman for 49 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas J. II and Agnes Gertrude Coleman (nee Mullen). He is also pre-deceased by one brother and one sister.

Thomas was a car enthusiast with a particular affinity for American and classic muscle cars. A member of the United Autoworkers Union, he was a tool and die maker, having worked with General Motors for over 17 years. He was a veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Christine M. Rynkiewicz (Stanley); son, Thomas J. IV; granddaughter, Alexis Abrams, and two brothers. He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first grandson in October.

Lewis Kelly Apothaker

Lewis Kelly Apothaker of Holland died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his residence. He was 69.

Kelly was the beloved husband of 25 years to Charlotte A. Snigar Morris.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Benson and Leah Kapnick Apothaker.

Kelly was a former resident of Cheltenham before moving to Holland in 1991. He was a proud veteran and served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. Kelly's career was in aviation and he was an accomplished pilot certified to fly various jet aircraft. Among other flight companies, he worked for Flight Options and Short Hills Aviation. Kelly, loved being a pilot and flew many prestigious people. He had the great opportunity in his flying career to visit places all over the globe. He also, was an avid golfer and was a member of Northampton Valley Country Club and truly enjoyed his time on the course.

In addition to his wife Charlotte, Kelly is survived by his children, Leigh Apothaker Chmar and her husband Michael of Philadelphia and Rebecca Morris Hiele and her husband Alex of Willow Grove, his brother Rabbi Howard Apothaker and wife Marcie of Columbus, Ohio and his sisters, Lynne Berkowitz and husband Edwin, Lisa Zmora, both of Philadelphia. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Austin and Liliane Hiele and Emma and Jackson Chmar.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:00am until his celebration of his life at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 29th in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. After the celebration of life, family and friends are invited to a luncheon from 12 to 2pm at Northampton Valley Country Club in the Crystal Cocktail room 299 Newtown-Richboro Road.

Kelly’s interment will be private.

Ethel M. Dougherty (Kligerman)

Ethel M. Kligerman Dougherty of Ivyland, formerly of Ann’s Choice and the Somerton section of Philadelphia died peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Brookdale Northampton, Richboro, PA. She was 94.

She was the beloved wife of the late James F. Dougherty Sr.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Ellen Clark Kligerman, grandmother of the late Heidi Dougherty and mother-in-law of the late John Hemple.

Know to all as “Dollie”, she loved to dance, Play Bridge and travel. But she most especially loved was being spoiled by her family and her loving grandchildren and great grand children.

She is survived by her three children, James F. Dougherty, Jr and his wife, Kathleen, Debbie Hemple, and Timothy J. Dougherty and his wife, Jeanne. Her brother Thomas Kligerman and his wife Arlene. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren; Dawn D’Agostino, (David), Erin, Shannon Garlick (Joseph), Megan Mensick (Christopher), James, Michael and Patrick, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Dollie’s family will receive condolence on Tuesday June 28, from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 10:30 am in the Chapel of St. Louise de Marillac at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.

Elizabeth S. “Betty” Thornton (Lord)

Elizabeth S. “Betty” Thornton, of Buckingham went home to the Lord on Monday June 20th, surrounded by her loving family.  She was 89.

She is survived by her beloved and faithful husband, Richard C. Thornton, Sr. for over 75 years. Born in 1926 in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Frances Sewter and William Lord. Betty dedicated her life to her family. Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Richard (Dorothy) Thornton, Sandra (Harry) Ciaccio , Richard (Salli) Schwartz; and her grandchildren: Jeffrey (Cheryl) Thornton, Troy (Lisa) Thornton, Kimberley Graffeo, Kelly (Robert) Brown, Adam Schwartz, Scott (Gayle) Schwartz, Stephanie (Matthew) Larson, Michael (Amanda) Ciaccio, and Nicole Ciaccio. The “Fabulous Mommom Betty” also has 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

With a charming nature and beautiful smile, Betty was known for her charitable and giving personality. She continuously made sure the lives of her family were magical, her presence was a delight to all around her.  A strong and intelligent woman, Betty was quick to help those in need and always willing to put others before herself. Her radiance and joy will de deeply missed by the people she touched daily. Betty will always be remembered for her endless love, to those who were blessed to know her.

Betty’s family will receive condolences on Friday June 24, from 9:30am until her funeral Mass at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 235 E. State St. Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
