William J. Parkes, II

August 20th, 2016

 

William J. Parkes, II of Sea Isle City, Greenacres FL and (formerly of Holland), passed away suddenly on August. 20, 2016.

Son of the late William and Catherine Parkes, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sarah “ Sally” (nee Cannon).  He was the dear father of William III(Kathleen), Brad (Terry), Greg (Claire) and Eileen Burke( Jim), and the late James Parkes. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Kaitlyn Parkes, his sisters Maureen (O’Donnell), Pat (Glemser), Kitty (Skoroda).

He was a graduate of St. Veronica’s Parish School, North Catholic H.S. and LaSalle University. Bill was proud of his Philly roots. He cherished being surrounded by family in Sea Isle City and making friends welcome.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday eve from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd.(at Holland Rd.) Richboro, and on Saturday at St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Rd. Holland , from 9:30 am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory maybe made to the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House (philarmh.org).

Walter J. Jucewicz

Walter J. Jucewicz of Warminster, PA died suddenly on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington, PA.  He was 76.

He was the beloved husband of Dorothy F. Charlton Jucewicz for 49 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Theodora Oczkowski Jucewicz.

Walter was a resident of Warminster for the past two years.  He formerly lived in Haycock Township for 17 years after moving from Philadelphia.  He was a graduate of Father Judge High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1958. Walter was employed as a pipefitter for 35 years at Rohm & Haas before retiring in 1997.  He was a talented carpenter who built his own home and made pieces of fine furniture for his family and friends.  He was also an avid hunter.  Mr. Jucewicz was family oriented and enjoyed the special times spent with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his five children, Linda Smigelski and her husband Michael, Denise Gwiazdowski and her husband Dominick, Karen Tygh and her husband Edward, Teresa Wodack, Walter J. Jucewicz Jr. and his wife, Karen, and his sister, Louise Berry and her husband, Thomas.  He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren; Jeffery, Kevin, Janielle, Kimberly, Lauren, Kristen, Chalie, Paige, Brianna, Kaeley, Carys and his two great grandsons, Cole and Vincent.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass 12:30 PM at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison, PA 18929.

His interment with military honors will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

Maria Elizabeth “Marliese” Ross (Brecht)

August 19th, 2016

Maria Elizabeth “Marliese” Ross (nee Brecht) died peacefully at her residence at Ann’s Choice in Warminster, PA on Friday, August 19, 2016.  She was 85.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Ross.

Born in Speryer, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ernst and Anna Seitz Brecht and the sister of the late Helga Brecht, Peter Brecht, Ursula Bundschuh and Margot Smith.

Maria is survived by her brother Werner Brecht, Elizabeth Sartor, and Hannelore Schnarr and she was an aunt to 9 nieces and nephews and a great aunt. 

Maria’s family will receive friends on Friday, August 26th from 9:30am until her Funeral Service 10:30am in the Chapel at Ann’s Choice, 30000 Ann’s Choice Way Warminster, PA 18974 and to her interment at 1:00PM in Hill Church Union Cemetery, 620 Hill Church Rd. Boyertown, PA 19512.

Shirley Ann Hart

August 19th, 2016

Shirley Ann Hart of Upper Southampton died peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Crestview Nursing Home, Langhorne.  She was 64.

Born in Philadelphia, Shirley was the beloved daughter of the late Francis J. and Claire A. Murphy Hart, sister of the late Katherine Moncil and Joseph Hart.

Shirley was a graduate of Frankford High School, class of 1970 and graduated from Frankford Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist where she worked for many years.  She was an avid reader, tried her hands at needlepoint and loved listening to the Beatles and especially Paul McCartney. She will be sadly missed for her gentile smile and kind words to people all her life.

Shirley is survived by her devoted brother Gary D. Hart and sister-in-law Cheryl, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday August 25, 2016 from 9:30am until her Funeral Service 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Bensalem.

Margaret A. Loeffler-Browne (Fuchs)

August 19th, 2016

Margaret A. Loeffler-Browne of Newtown died peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Chandler Hall, Newtown.

She was 92.

Born in Philadelphia, Margaret was the beloved wife of the late John Browne who died in 1999 and Joseph Loeffler who died in 1984.

She was the devoted daughter of the late Frank and Mary Krepps Fuchs, dear Mother of the late Kathleen Wagner and sister of the late Bernadette Ehresmann and Doris Hiegl.

Margaret has been a longtime resident of Newtown and a parishioner of the Church of St. Andrew. She had a love for children, music, and time spent at the Jersey Shore but paramount to that was the love she had for her family and for the Holy Trinity and the Blessed Mother. Margaret will be greatly missed but for ever loved by everyone whose life she has touched.

Margaret is survived by her devoted children and their spouses Joseph Loeffler and his wife Charlotte, Frank Loeffler, Mary LaBold and her husband LeRoy, She is the sister of Rita DiValerio. She is also survived by 11 dear grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday August 24, 2016 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:00am at the Olde Church of St. Andrew 135 S. Sycamore St. Newtown. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Robert P. Stillwell

August 18th, 2016

Robert P. Stillwell, of Warrington, died on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Pennsylvania Hospital.  He was 62.

He was the beloved husband of 24 years to Christine Stevens Stillwell.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Frances Brown Stillwell of Parkland, FL and the late Robert J. Stillwell.

Rob received a BA in Chemistry from Ithaca College, an MS in Physics from Drexel University and a Ph.D. in Physics from Colorado State University. He had a 30+ year career in the aerospace industry. Rob recently retired to Pennsylvania from California to be near family. He was a genuinely kind soul who will be missed by his loving wife, family and friends.

In addition to his loving wife and mother, Rob is survived by his two sisters Cynthia J. Fitzgerald and her husband James of Maple Glen, Jean S. Brooks and her husband Thomas of Warminster, and two brothers William J. Stillwell and his wife Patricia of Warminster, and Charles D. Stillwell of Southampton, PA.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 9:30 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington, PA 18976.  His interment will be held privately in Green Mount Cemetery, Bath, PA.

Elizabeth "Betty" E Politz (Myers)

Elizabeth "Betty" E. Myers Politz of Warminster died peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown. She was 69.

Born in the Tasker section of South Philadelphia, Betty was the wife of Albert Politz, daughter of the late Harold and Lillian Bates Myers and dear sister of Harold Myers who died just a year ago.

Betty was a resident of Warminster for many years and was the former owner of Anchor maintenance.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her step-children and grandchildren and one brother John R. Myers (Karen).

Betty’s family will receive condolences on Monday August 22, 2016 from 9:00am to until her Funeral Services, 10:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment Newtown Cemetery, Newtown.

Fay G. Heiser (Miller)

Fay G. Heiser of Warminster died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at her residence, at the age of 90.

Fay was the beloved wife of the late Robert Heiser. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Minerva Stoyer Miller and the grandmother of the late Yvonne Heiser.

Fay was a former resident of Reading and a longtime resident of Paoli for 50 years before moving to Ann’s Choice in 2008. In her leisure, she enjoyed reading and playing cards with the ladies at Ann’s Choice. Fay’s true joy in life was the quality times she spent with her family and her friends. She will be truly missed by her family and by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.

Fay is survived by her children, Susan R. Kershaw and her husband Tom of Jeffersonville, Steven D. Heiser of Johnstown, and Louise H. Cooper and her husband Rick of Yardley. She is also survived by her brother Clifford F. Miller and his wife Gladys, along with her four grandchildren Nicole Schultz, Jordan Heiser, Julia and Andrea Cooper, and her three great grandchildren, Morgan, Cameron, and Samantha.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 2:00 until 3:30 pm, immediately followed by her Funeral Service on Sunday, August 21st at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Fay’s interment will be privately held in Laureldale Cemetery in Reading.

Maryann Kuzemka (Puk)

Maryann Puk Kuzemka of Churchville died peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. She was 85.

Maryann was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Kuzemka.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Dey Puk.

Maryann has been a resident of Churchville for over 40 years and was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Richboro. She was active with her husband in the St. Francis Senior Group at Our Lady of Good Counsel and she enjoyed there many gatherings and trips. Maryann enjoyed times spent bowling, October’s at Woodloch Inn, and spending time with her family creating memories that will last forever in their hearts. She will be greatly missed but always loved by everyone who has had the privilege to know and love her.

Maryann is survived by her loving and devoted children and their spouses, Elaine and Walter Bearse of Melrose, MA, Edward Kuzemka and Rebecca Abruzzino of Ellenton, FL, and Paul Kuzemka and Gina of Linwood, NJ. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Tiffany, David, Nicole (John), Daniel (Leah) and Jacob (Alyssa), her great grandchildren Gavin, Gabriel, Brody, Jacob Jr., Josh, and Jonah and her sister Lillian Brodoski.

Serban Dragu Niculescu

August 17th, 2016

Serban Dragu Niculescu of Newtown died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. He was 76. Serban was the beloved husband of 46 years to Rodica Mateescu Niculescu. He is also survived by his daughter, Dr. Michelle Niculescu, her husband, Christopher Grovich, and their children, Maxwell Sebastian, Charles Alexander and Cecilia Grace.

Born in Bucharest, Romania, he was the son of the late Mihai and Lora Niculescu and brother to the late Mihai (Misu) Niculescu. Serban and Rodica immigrated to the United States in 1975.

Serban was a former resident of Philadelphia, Wilmington, DE, and Harleysville before moving to Newtown in 1987. He was an accomplished structural engineer who was licensed in multiple states and received numerous professional awards for his designs.

Serban loved adventure, including skiing, playing tennis, and traveling. He also loved to coach professional football and basketball from the comfort of his couch.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 12:00pm until his Funeral Service at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 20th in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Serban’s interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery in Newtown.
