Sunday, November 11th | Comment by: John & Sharon Mcgurk

I want to express our deepest condolences to Roys family and friends. I did not get to know Roy well but from the brief time I spent with him I remember his wonderful carefree attitude and infectious laughter. We are deeply saddened by his passing especialy for such a young man. I regret I could not have known Roy better. John & Sharon McGurk

Roy,
You were such a unique person. You could always make me smile. There is just no refusing your relentlessly adorable sense of humor. I am grateful to have known you, grateful for the times we shared, and I will carry fond memories of your laugh and wit throughout my days. This tragically early end to your time with us all shows us how fragile life is. I want you to know how proud I am of you for how brave you have been and all the accomplishments you have achieved. You are and shall be greatly missed. To your family my deepest sympathies go out for a fantastic brother, son, friend, who was lost. Rest in peace dear friend.

Roy, although we only knew each other for a short time, I consider myself a very lucky guy for having met you. I envied your positive and enthusiastic attitude, and always enjoyed our phone conversations talking about what kind of jobs you were interested in pursuing. It was great sharing in the experience of you taking charge of your life and actively working to make it more rewarding, which is why this news is even more tragic. I'll miss you Roy, and I hope that you can continue to inspire everyone you continue to meet in the same way you did in life.

Roy... I'm never really good at saying these things... Time and life took us both in different directions but I'll always remember the good times we had hanging out together back in the day. I say back in the day as if it was 60 years ago. But the reality of it is we've all seen too many friends pass away at too young of an age to do so. This is no exception to that. I thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We'll all miss you Roy.

Hey buddy, its a sad day today, to have found out that you passed away. I know its been about 2 years since we last spoke, but i was actually thinking about you lately. Thinking about all the fun and crazy stuff we use to do back in the day when you lived with me and my family for 3+ years. The crazy nights at the races, or at Goodnoes, or just hanging out, out front of my house. Sorry we didnt get to hang out or see each other for all these years, but I just want you to know that I still have the cat you had when you lived with me, Snickers, and I will always love her and take good care of her for you, just like i have for the last 8 years.

Take care buddy, and I hope you finally got the Prelude of your dreams up in heaven and your racing around in it, slammin gears and running down the bypass :-)
