I will always remember Denise more as a sister than a cousin. We grew up on the same block in Phila. Our moms were sisters and our grandmother raised us while our moms worked. I can still remember the first day she went off the school and left me behind (I'M the younger one). She'll always be the woman I wanted to be. I looked up to her then and always will. She will be missed but everyone she left behind is a better person because she was in our lives. She lives on.

Denise and I were classmates at Bucks, in nursing school. We did a really good job as Prez and VP of our class. We permitted many to attend graduation, who couldn't have otherwise, by our efforts.
It's been a long time since we had seen each other, but her smile was easily recognized. Many times I had thought of our fun times in nursing school and wondered where she had landed.
Denise's passing is a reminder of how short life is and to never put something off until tomorrow-no one is promised another day.
Peace and positive energy to Michael and the boys and her siblings...

The apple did not fall far from the tree. Your Mom was and is a wonderful person. Hold on tight to the love you shared with her. She will always be in your heart.

Denise,
I never was honored to meet you in person but I feel that I know a small part of you through your son, George. He is an amazing friend and person, so I know that you had a huge part in that. George, Mary Ellen, and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this impossible time. Renee
