So many commendations could be given. So many deeds could be sung. But Ruth always served an audience of One. Her Creator, God & King gave her such joy - such drive and tenacity - such a firm faith. It is only a select few that have ever crossed the ocean and come to Central Asia to visit us. It is a long journey - and not for the faint of heart.
But Ruth IS not faint of heart. She IS strong and determined and loving and generous. She IS an example and a blessing. And much to our sorrow, she is now all of those things in the presence of her Savior, and no longer here in our midst.
But she IS - and always will be - our dear sister and friend. She no longer wears the veil of humanity in all its entrapments and limitations. She is truly whole and truly free.
And while we grieve and mourn for our great loss, we also rejoice and, in light of her great gain, say 'Amen' (let it be so). We long, all the more, to see HIS face and hers - and we will honor our dear sister by following in her footsteps, that is, to follow in HIS.
Such Love is being sent through these keystrokes to Bob & the family - our hearts are aching with yours - and we are truly with you in the Spirit as we grieve.
