My Poppop was “a man full of wonder” to quote my Mom who got it right on the money! His brain held so much information that I just know he is schooling whoever is around him now with facts about history, science, social sciences, current events, things found in nature that he has seen or heard of, anything that he found interesting - which was everything! Up to his final days he never stopped questioning and learning about things and people.
His brain wasn’t the only thing that was full, his heart was too. I could feel his love for me no matter what I did in my life. Such support has carried me through anything that has come my way. The love he had for my Mommom was the purest and simplest thing there is. It was beautiful to see. I was so lucky to see it. What a team!
Poppop, I will miss my good friend. I will miss your huge, kind, honest heart. I do not know if I will ever meet a smarter person in this world. Poppop, you were like a human encyclopedia, a human Wikipedia page. Poppop, I am so honored to be 25% of your DNA.
