To Dale's children and family
I just came across Dale's obituary a year ago June and was kind of sad to read it, but glad to see what a great life he had.
I worked with Dale at the American Poultry Journal in Chicago, IL in 1948-50! I was the secretary in this small publishing office in the old Rand McNally Bldg. I believe this was Dale's first job after graduating from Rutgers. What a great fellow--if I hadn't been engaged at the time, I'd have gone on a date with him, but I've always remembered his Rutgers connection. My husband and I had him over for dinner after we married.
I ended up in Kentucky for 58 years with husband and one daughter and now live in a retirement village near Washington, DC. where the daughter and hubby live nearby.
So sorry to learn my friend, Dale, has passed on. I'm 91 years young and still enjoy the computer and e-mail.

Losing Dale to me is like losing my father. He was also a person who you could look up to and admire. It was an honor and pleasure to have known him, few people can say that in their lifetime so I consider myself one of the lucky ones. May God Bless him and his family.
