Dear Sellen Family & Lauren,
Alex's energy and enthusiasm as an officer truly exemplified the Phi Theta Kappa hallmarks of leadership, scholarship, fellowship, and service. More than that, to the team of officers and the family of Kappans, Alex was our dear friend whose commanding presence left an indelible impression. He will be sorely missed. May you have peace in knowing he was greatly loved by many. On behalf of the BCCC Pi Xi Chapter 2010-2011 officers: Amy, Alexa, Arezo, Colleen, Joey, and Kimberly and our advisor, Professor Charles Beem, we offer our sincere condolences.

To Alex's family: I had the pleasure to get to know Alex at SU. He was a student in our MPD 205 class. Hearing the news of his passing breaks my heart. His smile, zest, passion and attitude were second to none. A truly incredible soul has been taken from us. My deepest condolences to your family.

I am a resident of Southampton and live in the area for over 10 years. I have a son a year younger than Alex. My son have played basketball in our Township league since he was grade school; and it amazed me to see our young kids grow up from year to year. It takes a huge chunk from my heart when I hear this tragic incident happen to our kids in the area; because as a parent I feel and know where these parents are coming from. I pray hard and try to understand why this young kid was taken away from our midst. I hope that Alex parents will have a little consolation knowing that their son is already in a better place. I understand no words can describe the sadness in their heart; I still hope and pray that it helps them to know that this tragedy have affected our whole community; and it hit home and even strangers like me feels the pain.
