Mom,
It will be 1 year soon, this guestbook will disappear, but the memory of you will be etched upon my heart forever. Angry, yes, you should be here with us. You had a lot of life left. I haven't heard from you, your home is empty, traditions you have brought forth will never be celebrated in your home again. I try so hard to keep them going for future generations. How great would it be for you to be here with Michelle and I baking your delicious pies and cookies. This year is somewhat harder than last year. Your two granddaughters miss you immensely, as do I. I love you more today than yesterday but not as much as tomorrow..... Love, your one and only xo

You left us all too soon. There was much more life left in you. Last night I said to myself, I need to call Mom. I have questions to ask you, you are not here to answer. The holidays are coming, the pies, your pie tradition will live on through your two granddaughters and myself. So far I have had 3 dreams of you, now I need a sign. Your smile keeps flashing through my mind. I have never been a selfish person, but to have you here with us, selfish I would be! I truly miss our talks, your "special thoughts" of the future. You loved, cared, helped, nurtured, gave to your children uncondionally throughout your life. We have been cheated of 5 years more with you in our lives. I love you more than love itself.....
