Dear Pat and Family---I had a Sad feeling and also a Happy one
thinking all that she has done in her life. I promise I will
overdo something while thinking of Kim. I know you are very
proud of Kim. Knowing you while at Cherokee, Kim had a wonderful Mother. You will be in my thoughts and loving
memories mean so much to all of us. Take Care, Sheila

I went to Mount Holyoke with Kim and I just wanted to say I am so very sorry for your loss. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Kim and I began our relationship as echo technologist and patient. We grew into a mutual respect and friendship over the years. The tables turned when I became a patient myself. Kim was there for me as a visitor and friend. We shared a love of good books and I was provided with lots of reading material through Kim's generosity. Prior to my hospitalization, Kim told me to remember two words at all times- the two words were "thank you". We forget to thank those that care for us in times of need. I am a better person for having known Kim and will hold her in my heart.

I did not know Kim Underwood, but after reading her obituary in the Courier Post, I wish I had. I had to write and tell you that her life story was very inspiring, and it is clear that she lived her life to the fullest, and was well loved. My condolences.
