Condolences for
Carolanne T. Wismer (Macy)

Wednesday, November 21st | Comment by: Patrick McMaster

As the youngest of the McMaster Family of my Generation I wish to reach out to the family of the next youngest and express my Love for Carolanne. During my time as a paramedic the highlight of any trip to Foxchase was always running in to my cousins. First just Carolanne then later 2 more. My partners were always amazed how I either always wanted to get there early for a pick up or spent time after a drop off walking around to different departments just to say hello to them.
I have many memories growing up of the Macy clan. I was your fathers God son so he spoiled me too. I know I enjoyed being part of a large family and even larger extended family.
Carolanne I will miss you and wish to extend my deepest sympathies to your Husband, Daughters and the rest of your family.
I regret that Carolanne and I never got the family reunion we always talked about together.

During the darkest time of our lives Carolanne came alongside our family bringing light. This was from 2007-20012 during the battle my brother Glenn Winkler fought against cancer. She brought liveliness, wit, knowledge, courage, hope and great friendship to our family; seeing us through till his untimely death. The Bible says "every good and perfect gift is from above" and we thanked God he put her in our lives at just the right time. She was a true hero. I am so undone that she had to suffer in the same way she helped so many others. May the Lord comfort the Wismer and Macy family in this time of great, unspeakable loss. Her precious daughters I know and trust will carry on with the light she brought to this world.

Dear Bill and family, I know this day has been coming for a while, but it’s still far too soon! Carolanne was a force of nature unparalleled. I’ll never forget the first time I met her, and I’ll treasure all the wonderful days and evenings we shared.

I was an honorary in-law for a short time in the Wismer family, but the impression will be lifelong. Carolanne made me laugh as hard as anyone ever could, and her conspiratorial nature was ever so inviting! Billy, you chose so well to marry a woman who could give as good as she took, and who could stand up to any badass wannabe. Because she was the total badass real deal.

To the Wismer girls, I know you don’t know me but I feel as though I know you. Your mother adored you all and was so, so proud of the women you are. I pray that you will soon have a little more peace than grief, and that you will have stronger memories of your badass mother than your sick mom.

Love, Jane
