Gerry was my father in law. He was a proud St. Joseph's University "Golden Hawk", a very intelligent, private patient and quiet man. I have never met and probably will never meet anyone more caring and helpful than Gerry and Mary Dougherty and I'm sure hundreds of people would agree. I will miss Gerry very much but I am happy that his long road of pain and suffering is over. I lost my father in March of this year and now Gerry and it's a very difficult time. What I will miss most about Gerry is his witty comments, his great meals, his St. Patrick's Day and July 4th parties, the Avalon shore trips and his generosity. His marinated flank steak and beef tenderloin were gold ! Gold Gerry GOLD ! Thanks for everything Gerry. Your grandson George will make sure he continues to carry on "THWND" (The Hawk Will Never Die) long after his stay at St. Joseph's University. Thanks so much for everything and if you run into my Dad, Uncle Mario or Uncle Andy up there please keep those guys in line !
