When we last saw Fred in April, we assumed that we had many more years with him and looked forward to those times ahead. We've all lost him way too soon.
Fred (and Betty) were always so generous with their time and hospitality. They hosted family gatherings at Christmas, summertime get togethers and always opened their house to us when we came down to visit Vi and Burt. We were always fed, cared for and welcome anytime we wanted to stop by. He welcomed us and encouraged us to come visit and would reciprocate by not hesitating to drive up to New England to help us celebrate those special times. A real special guy !
Such a good person and generous spirit. We will miss you in the years ahead, but will celebrate the life you lived and the person you were.

If there was a celebration of any sort, Fred(along with Betty, of course) was either hosting or making the trip to be there. Fred was there with his camera and promises to send copies of pictures were always kept. Pete and I were so touched when this April, Betty and Fred again travelled miles to help us celebrate our 40th. We will cherish our last visit with him.
Fred was the quintessential family man-a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and brother-in-law. As the Bhuddist' s say , there are 10,000 joys and 10,000 sorrows in life-Fred's life was surely one of the joys and his death surely a sorrow.

Fond memories of Uncle Fred have been running through my mind recently. His laugh, encouraging disposition, one-of-a-kind voice and unending support were all traits that defined Fred to me. From a distance I never once questioned Fred’s love for me and my family and I remember, with great joy, the time that he spent with us. Uncle Fred you will be missed but never forgotten.
Love,
Dave Stoller and Family

Fred was such a cheerful person, bringing happiness to all of us. I know he is and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew and love him. We cried again when we saw his picture but laughed when we read the chainsaw comment.

What a great picture of Fred. We think about you all constantly and remember our silly times together. Bill keeps singing the song, "and when I'm gone, there will be one child more to carry on," and then we lose it. Love you all so much, we will miss him greatly!
