Condolences for
Marie Hill (Smith)

Mrs. Hill was my 1st grade teacher. She was a very inspiring teacher, whom was most caring about her students. I knew then I wanted to be just like Mrs. Hill. In the 5th grade chorus I dressed up like her as a role in the show. Many years later, I went to college for teaching. Now as a teacher, still to this day, I look back at my wonderful experiences as a 1st grade student, in Mrs. Hill's class. I never forgot her Check Plus Packets and Star Compliment chart. Mrs. Hill is a "Check Plus" in my grade book.

I was fortunate to work with Marie Hill at Walter Miller Elementary School. She was a master teacher - loved and respected by her students, parents and colleagues. Marie had a beautiful smile and a personality to match! I loved chatting with Marie every morning! She will live on in the hearts of her students and many friends.

Marie has always been a very special person to me. People always spoke of her kind heart and good nature. She touched so many lives in her teaching days, I feel blessed to have worked with her.

Marie was such a wonderful teacher and friend. I'm so fortunate that she was my child's teacher. We will never forget those "hot shots".
