Dear Dianne & Family,

The world has lost a great leader. We at National Silicates in Toronto have such wonderful, fond memories of you both in Canada. Mike was an amazing, kind and strong believer in people and their skills. His great sense of humour (yes with a "u") and capacity for fair play, will always be legendary. We remember him as our very own "Mighty Quinn".

With fond memories,

Lynda Ryder

I am saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He was a great business leader at Rhodia / Solvay where he drove exceptional improvements with his quiet, but strong management style. Mike leaves behind many business colleagues who have lost our friend, but are happy to have gained from his wisdom and inspiration. He is already missed.

Rest in peace, Mike.

I have just lost a good person in my life who treated me like a friend. Back in February 8, 1969 Michael was my best man at our, Cara and my, wedding. Mike was a truly good person. People pass every day, but we are never ready for losses that are close. I am grateful for those whom I have come to know and come to appreciate such as my brother-in-law. I will miss Michael’s candor, sense of humor, sarcasm and affection. When I learned of his passing for some unexplained reason, I thought of two songs one by the rock music group, Whitesnake and the other by Scorpions. In my heart, I am now a troubled soul an here I go again. I hear his voice from deep inside, it's a call of the heart asking us to close our eyes so that we will find the way out of this dark experience. So here I am. Will you send me an angel? Here I am in the land of the morning star. I owe Mike much more than he knew. We will miss him. I will miss Mike…

Dianne and Family,

I wish you courage, peace, strength, and many fond memories during these difficult days. Mike was a genuine, caring, and endearing colleague and friend who cared deeply about family. I will always remember fondly his wise counsel and dry wit. I hear his voice, clear in my mind, when I think often of the laughs and wonderful rounds of golf we shared during our time working together.

Dianne:
I was saddened and shocked to hear about the demise of my former colleague Mike Quinn. I had the pleasure of working closely with him in Solvay and Rhodia. Mike was a great management team member and his soft spoken words were carefully chosen to fit the situation.
I offer my personal condolences to you, his children, grand children and all his loved ones.
Regards,
Mo
