I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I am the daughter of Bob and Geri Shaffer. Your dad came to visit us at my mothers' house close to two years ago for lunch. I tried to call his home a while back and couldn't reach him. I just decided to google his name and the obituary came up. What a fabulous man he was. My parents and he and Lois had many great times together. He always had such a collection of jokes to tell. I don't know how he remembered them all. What great company he was. Your dad and my mom always kept in touch after my dad passed. Unfortunately my mom also passed in February, so I decided to try to contact him once more. Please accept our sincere condolences. I can honestly say we know exactly what you're going through. Our entire family will be sad to hear of his passing.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Bill. What a great guy,so fun loving,just loved to get his email blasts and he always added his special wit to any occassion we invited him to attend! My sister Janet and I would not have hesitated to attend his service to personally extend our condolences. Our thoughts are with you and hope you find solace in knowing he had a life well lived!
