I have so many memories of Mr. Helfer that the words just won't come easily. I remember him referring to Jaime as his little bear and I know he relived those memories all over again through Emily. He was always a presence through our high school years and took his job as a handler for the marching band like it was the most serious of callings. In my mind, he will always be fixing something we girls broke and cheering us on like a madman as he took to the field on that crazy tractor contraption the dads were all so proud of.

From the first time we met, back in 09, I liked you. I could tell by the way we trained together you were going to be invaluable to our team. And you are! I loved busting on you "you ole rust picker". And, I enjoyed your busting back. From the beginning you've been the light in our crew and you will continue to be. I miss you brother! We all do! I will keep my promise to you, I swear! God Bless You my Brother. Semper Fi! From me and all your Team mates in the Honor Guard!

First met you at our son's wedding to Donna and we always felt you and Jean were part of our family. Must say your carpentry skills were amazing. Our condolences to the family and with the hope that each day will bring comfort to Jean, Jamie, Ben and granddaughter Emily.

Jean and family, Al and I send our deepest sympathies... Barry was a nice man and a talented carpenter. The smile and glimmer in his eyes, is the Barry we will remember. His passing is another lesson for people our age, do not put off calling that person you are thinking about; before you know it, it's too late. God Bless you and give you the peace and strength to carry on.
