Family gatherings with Aunt Emma and the family were always special. Christmas was for caroling of course and Easter with the 'froggy men' and 'spiked' ricotta were fun family times. Thanksgivings were a treat at the original Conti's and it's many successors. Coming back to the house afterwards for wonderful homemade pumpkin and lofty apple pies was a time I know she loved most, to be surrounded by family.
Aunt Emm was always dressed to the nines and ready for anything. She enjoyed life, going out to shows and day trips, and never let anything stop her from having fun with her friends and family. This is how she'll be remembered and I'm glad to have those memories.

Prayers for peace and comfort as you think about the wonderful memories of Nana Gaul during what will be difficult times. She was a very special person with a great love for her family. I think of the large gatherings at her house on Christmas Eve as the extended family came together for good food, great company and a singing (and accompanying) the never ending assortment of carols - sometimes even in tune!. She was always generous to Sarah and Chris, remembering them with a Christmas gift for under the tree. She was a kind and gentle woman whose memory will continue to have a place in the people whose lives she touched! Hugs to all the Gaul family members.
Love,
Donna Hansen

Aunt Emma will always hold a special place in my heart. She was the definition of grace and kindness. I was amazed always how vibrant she remained well into her eighties and even nineties. Aunt Emma's homemade pumpkin pies and apple pies personally served by her on Christmas Eve will remain a special memory. Memories of Aunt Emma's open arms and bright smile on those nights that often led into early Christmas mornings will forever make me feel blessed to have been loved and loved a wonderful Aunt.
