The dictionary does not contain enough words to convey our grief, or to comfort the devastated family and friends that Nick leaves behind. I can only pass along something I read a long time ago and hope that it brings some comfort, as it did to me when I read it. "Death is not extinguishing the light. It is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come."
Nick will shine forever in the dawn of God's light and in our everlasting love.

Nick and I became friends recently. I feel fortunate that I got to know him and will miss him very much. He was always carrying his trumpet, ready to play anytime even when sitting behind you in the car. He was such a kind, helpful person, and one of a kind. He will be missed.

Some people simply pass through our lives too soon, but they leave an everlasting beauty behind.
Nick was one of those special people.
His sense of humor, his love for his family, and his close bond with his special friends leave a true legacy.
He loved life and made many people better for having known him.
His addiction may have been in his blood, but it never changed his good heart and his obvious love for people.
The world could use more people like him.
RIP my friend.
We will always remember you - and smile when we do
