I am very sorry that Gid is gone. After reading his Obit I am compelled to say I wish I had known him. I would have loved to hear him tell his story of two!!! I am sooo happy for all those who got to feel his zest for life!!! God bless you all!!!

The crossing of our paths took place as Gidio tended so lovingly and patiently to the needs of his ailing wife. From there a true friendship was born and we treasured our time in his company, always parting ways in awe of his love for God first then his family then his friends. This quiet, gentle, giant of a man was so humble and caring and loyal. Never did he want to be the center of attention, instead more concerned with others always. Truly a great American, an amazing father and friend, we will sorely miss this "hero in our eyes" and are certain that we and our family are far better people for the touch of this simple and beautiful man. Job well done good and faithful servant!!! Thank you for all the life lessons along the way! Our hearts break but we know you have longed for your heavenly home!! Thank you and we love you and your beautiful girls!! Be proud Jo and Tina!

You will be missed, Mr. C! My family and I have nothing but great memories of you. We have all learned so much from you - from the gardening tips, to you making me wait in the "Breezeway" for Joann to come outside. Thanks for your patience with us when we were loud and rowdy teenage girls! You were a strong, but gentle man!
