Joe's greeting to me was "Donne-moi un baiser". I now give you a good-bye kiss and will always keep your memory in my heart. Wendy
They say old solders never die and with certainty Joe's Joie De Vivre will exist on the parade ground for ever. Rest at-ease my friend. John

The memories of Joe that make me smile are Friday nights at Mr. Z’s in Cleveland. Annette would be at work and I would pick up Joe around 6pm and he would be dressed up wearing a jacket and tie looking very handsome. It was our date night! We would head over to Mr. Z’s talking about our week and how things were going. Once inside Mr. Z’s the place would be lively and everyone was excited to see Joe. We were always given two seats at the bar and had so much fun meeting new people and talking with friends he had known for many years. He always took time to talk to everyone and expressed genuine interest in them. We would leave in time for him to pick up Annette and laugh and gossip about everyone we met! He always had a smile and I am sure he is still smiling with us now.

Joe smiled a lot. All the photos I have of him show a big grin. That says bunches about the man. That's how I'll remember him.

When Pop smiled, it was impossible not to smile with him.
