Condolences for
Rita Therese Schmitt (George)

My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

The first person I worked for at the Bensalem Township School District was Dr. Schmitt. I was her secretary in the special education department. She was the best!! She was hard working, dedicated, and truly cared about the district and public education. She always expected the best and wanted the best for you. She was very intelligent, had a good sense of humor, and was a great administrator. I truly loved working for her. Some of my best moments working for a school district were at Bensalem, working in the pupil personnel services department. I am sad to hear of her passing! I have many fond memories of her! My condolences to the family!

Beth Scott (Kuhl)

Dr. Rita Schmitt was an exceptional educator and administrator in the Bensalem Township School District.
She inspired many......provided wisdom and guidance for many....and was respected by many.
Due to her tutelage and mentoring, I became an administrator in Bensalem, always striving to be as principled and as child-centered and as focused on quality education as Dr. Schmitt had been.
Dr. Schmitt was one of the most intelligent women I had the pleasure of knowing.
May she rest in peace.
