RIP Dr. Martinovic. Always eager to help those around, you defined what it meant to be a great person. Of all the great faculty and all the mentors I have ever had, you stood out as the individual who knew just how to push someone in the right direction. We have all had a more positive experience in our lives having been able to call you professor, adviser, mentor and friend.

"We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” ( Churchill)
Miroslav Martinovic had a BIG life. He was one of the most caring and giving persons I have ever met. His heart was full of light, love and compassion. Misha made a difference in many people's lives, but specially in ours. When we were in need, he invited us to stay with him, and selflessly took care of our family.
I've learned from Misha one of life's most important things: it is in giving what we receive. He lived by that.
May his soul rest in peace and be blessed in heavens.

My dear friend Misha exemplified the kind of human being I want to be: open-minded, tolerant, intellectually curious about other cultures, compassionate toward all, and truly cosmopolitan. I will always treasure our lively conversations about history and ideas. And I'm forever grateful that he finally got me to read Godel Escher Bach!

R.I.P. Dr. Martinovic. You were a kind, funny, and insightful professor, advisor, and mentor. You're door was always open, whenever I needed help or advice, and for that I am truly grateful. I owe much of who and where I am now to you. You will deeply be missed.
