Condolences for
Joseph B. Sheehan

I've just learned of Joe's passing (and of Kevin's some time back) from a classmate and felt moved to express my profound sadness and heartfelt sympathy to the Sheehan family, but also my fond recollections of Joe and of Kevin, albeit from a handful of direct interactions but mostly from being in proximity to them both. My brothers, sister and I know the Sheehan family from having attended St. Joe's Elementary School and Archbishop Wood HS with Brian and Mary Jane (in my grade) and Joe and Kevin (a year ahead), as well as having grown up in the same neighborhood. For the longest time, I secretly envied the tight-knit familial camaraderie of the Sheehans - it was vibrant and palpable, as if you could reach out and touch it. As I reflect back on those days I'm now better able to pinpoint what was particularly special and distinct about Joe and also Kevin; they both had a wonderful duality of personality - seemingly easy going and quietly approachable but with an understated yet unmistakeable intensity; two fundamental and desirable human qualities I've not yet been able to put into practice and balance simultaneously. I was Joe's chiropractor a few years ago....so sorry. I just heard this morning about his passing. What a gentle soul. May he rest in peace. My deepest condolences

Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this very difficult time. We remember Joe very fondly from the neighborhood. He always had a smile and a friendly hi to everyone he came in contact with.
