My first assignment at the district was the night shift at North. Much of my work involved setting up for sporting events for which Dennis as the AD was largely responsible. As the new guy, you never know what to expect, but Dennis made me feel part of his team right off the bat. Trust me, he could bust 'em with the best, but always in a way that you would share a laugh afterwards. His concern for others was also obvious, with the students where his interaction displayed a care for where they were now and where they could someday be. He was meant to deal with kids, for as much as he was an adult role model for them, there was that part of him that remained a kid at heart. It was my privilege to have shared a small part, both professionally and personally, of Dennis' life. So sorry Astrida and Erik.

Dear Astrida and Family,
My prayer is for Denny's eternal soul, now resting with God; and for the comfort you receive from recalling the wonderful life you shared. I recall Denny as the 11th grade principal when I was at North and you, Astrida when I was at Newtown Junior. I read of the heroism of the recue of the girl who jumped into the Hudson recently by your son. You are a family Blessed and may those Blessings continue.

Dennis was one of the best principals I ever worked with. I will always remember him w/ utmost fondness. In 35 years of principal's observations, the one and only one by Dennis touched me the most as he saw the human being, just not the teacher, the classroom or the lesson. That observation always meant a lot to me. He was a good man. Glad I knew him.

My heart goes out to the Warg Family during this time. There are many memories to share and look back and smile on. We will miss you Dennis and sad that you had to leave too soon.

Dennis was a school classmate, MHS Class of 1962. I knew Denny from First Grade through Twelth Grade. He was the most prominent of male athletes in our class and excelled at virtually every sport he was ever exposed to. He was a very popular class member and was respected by everyone, including faculty and staff.
Although I have not seen Denny since graduation from HMS in 1962, I always consider him a friend. I am saddened by his passing.
My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Dennis Warg........
