I only ever met Duck once, at the DRG for a few hours. But wow, that memory will stay with me for years. He lent me his chalk bag, with a beat up, grungy, little duck toy hanging from it. I chuckled at it, and went on to climbing with a thanks to the kind gentleman who was educating me in different ways of climbing.
I am so so terribly sorry for what has happened. I regret that I couldn't have met him again, talked longer, and learned more about him.

Duck was a climber at our gym for several years. You could always count on him to have a smile on his face. He climbed hard until the very end of the night; even sometimes requiring us to "encourage" him and the rest of the Thursday night crew to head out to whatever eating establishment they were about to visit. He will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.

Andrew was a wonderful kid and extremely smart work colleague. I enjoyed the way he always had a smile on his face. I always use to tell him he reminded me of my son except he (Andrew) would actually talk with me. Andrew even found and returned a pair of my sunglasses at the bottom of one of his diving quarries. He will be missed.

Our hearts weigh heavy with tears and sadness. I am truly saddened by Andrew's death. He was an amazing person. He was always so kind and considerate even with so few words. His passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
