Condolences for
Roy Reinard Jr.

Wednesday, December 10th | Comment by: Ronald Cherry

Roy was a fine gentleman and classmate at Wilson JHS and Frankford HS. It was in
high school where he met Ethel, the love of his life. My deepest sympathy to Ethel and
the family.
I enjoyed seeing them on several occasions when I flew back east to attend class
reunions.
To my Brother Mason Roy, I say, "Soft and safe to thee my Brother, be thy final resting
place."

Sorry for your loss

Uncle Roy:
It is with deep sadness that I write this letter...but also with warmth and sunshine as I recall all the good times, all the Christmas Eve's at the Mill Race and in New Hope; the fancy cars (especially the Jag!); our yearly visit to Ocean City; playing pool in the basement of the farmhouse; hearing the stories from Tuckahoe and the Mountain Trips, especially the floor show; all the visits to Rocksville Road when Aunt Ethel was at the house when I came home from school.

So please accept my sincerest gratitude for the years or kindness, love, and fun...you were a great friend to my family and you will be missed & remembered for a long time.

Your friend and "nephew",

Ken

P.S. It's also good to know you're doing some recon so, when we meet again, you will have everything already scoped out!!!

Sad to see such an insurance icon depart. Have known Roy for oner 35 years and consider him to be a mentor, a man of true vision and total integrty. It was my pleasure to have been in his company.

Mr. Reinard was a sweet man; he always greeted everyone with a smile and had something nice to say to everyone. I have nothing but fond memories of him. As a child, when he would come over my parents' house for a dinner party or bridge game, he always made a point of coming to see all of us kids and talked with all of us, as well as my grandmother. It was a pleasure seeing him, as he always made time to talk with us; as if we were the real reason he came to visit my parents in our home.

I recall a time when I was about 5 years old when I "bribed" Mr. Reinard to take me for a ride in his sports car in exchange for showing him my secret spot to pick wildflowers. He had a Jaguar convertible. It was the coolest car ever to a five-year-old boy. We went for a ride to my secret spot so he could pick some flowers for his wife. He made me feel very special and important that day. Uncle Roy will be missed by all. We have lost a true gentleman with a kind spirit. God Bless Mr. Reinard. Heaven is an even better place today with him there.
