I think this is the fifth time that I've stared at this form. I shared so many memories with Scott that I don't know where to begin or end.
We first met just after you moved to the Pennington campus and he was out throwing a tennis ball against the brick wall along the back of the dining hall. Scott instantly reached out and the one-person game quickly became a two-person game. We played variants of it for years afterwards.
I last saw Scott at Sebastian's wedding several years ago. We both pledged (many times) to do a far better job keeping in touch than we had the prior few years. Sadly, we didn't and I find myself regretting that immensely.
Scott, I miss you and treasure your contributions to my life.
Cook family, you will be in our thoughts as you go through this very difficult time.

Dear Cook Family,
I am very sorry for your loss.
I have often found myself thinking about Scott's ability, when we were teammates at Pennington, to fully enjoy himself while still committing himself to his work for the team. He was a model for me in that respect, and continues to be so.
My thoughts are with you.
With deepest condolences,
Jamie Griffith

TO THE COOK FAMILY,
I HAD THE HONOR OF BEING SCOTT’S FIRST PARTNER ON MEDIC 3. HE WAS A GREAT MENTOR TO ME AS WELL AS A GREAT FRIEND. WE HAD MANY FUN TIMES TOGETHER, AND HE TAUGHT ME A LOT. THE WORLD WAS A BETTER PLACE WITH SCOTT. HE WAS ALWAYS SMILING AND SO UP LIFTING TO BE AROUND. SCOTT WILL BE REMBERED BY ALL THAT KNEW HIM. BUT MOST OF ALL HE WILL BE MISSED, BY ALL THAT HE TOUCHED AS A PERSON, AND MOST OF ALL AS A PARAMEDIC. THERE IS NO DOUGHT IN MY MIND THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE A LIVE TODAY THANKS SCOTT’S SKILLS AS A PARAMEDIC. I WISH TO CONVAY MY DEEPEST SYMPOTHY TO YOUR FAMILY.
RICH JIMENEZ
