I am the grandson of her sister Gisela in Hannover, Germany.
I´m angry about I´ve never been in USA to visit "aunt traudl" an her family.
But in a few years, I hope to visit all of them in USA.
Best wishes for all of you and R.I.P. for Traudl...

Trudy was the sister of my mother. I regret that i know here only from one visit in germany 1957. Also it was unpossible for me to know here man, Lou. But i heard from them after the visits of my mother in USA and i phoned with her and with Lou too. So i feel, that this man was more, than a man for here. More than a good friend. He helped here to all ways of life and was also like a father for the children of her son. So I thanks to Lou for his great friendship - also to our family. I am sorry, that I never have been in USA, because my wife is not aible to fly. But Lou and Trudy will be in my mind.(sorry about my english-mistakes).
Tom from Germany (son of her sister in Hanover)

Trudy and my mother, Dot Johnson, became friends while my mother still worked at a bank in Chalfont. They both had a good sense of humor and got along well, not to mention both from German decent. They enjoyed going to lunch regularly and most times with their friend, Ruthie. Trudy and her husband, Lou, were very helpful with providing information regarding MIA's/POW's of the Korean War for my mother whose brother is still MIA from that war. Trudy was a faithful friend...she checked in every day just to see if my mother needed anything at the store or if she could do anything for her. After my mother's passing, I've kept in touch with Trudy and would go to lunch as often and we could arrange it, usually with Ruthie too. Recently, my brother, Leo became ill and even though she was very sick herself, all she was concerned about was how he was doing and that she was going to visit him as soon as she could. Unfortunately, that did not happen. My family is blessed to have had Trudy in our lives and I hope that she is at eternal peace now and reunited with her beloved grandson. I and my family will miss her dearly. Love, Linda, Bill, Stephen, & Mark (and, my brother, Leo)
