Adella was my Aunt Della. She was the "funny" sister, who always played with me and made me laugh. My Mother who
preceeded Aunt Della is Stella Liggett, and is Aunt Della's sister, along with Aunt Millie who also preceeded Aunt Della. They are all together now with their Mother, their husbands, along with my husband "Chet", who died March 21, 2010.
We never knew where Aunt Della went, but I always knew she
loved us all. Circumstances at times will make a life change, but I never doubted her reasons, I just missed her.
My deepest sympathies to my cousins, Aunt Della's children.
It is one of the most deepest of losses, a Mother's passing.
94 years of age,....my goodness.
I will always carry in my minds eye, a picture of all three sisters taken in Oceanside at our home in the late 60's or early 70's. It is taken in our front yard, with Aunt Della, Aunt Millie and Mom with their armsaround each other, all in their pretty spring dresses. Why this
picture stays in my mind is because they all were of varing
height, yet their dresses all ended at the same length. I always thought that was funny, and special.
I love you Aunt Della and someday (soon I hope), I will be
with all of you in God's glory.
All my love,
Kelly (Liggett)Backus

I am so sorry I was not able to attend Adella's service. I am sure it was beautiful. She was always such a good friend to me and I will miss her.

You don't have to worry about anything else anymore. You are going to a better place. You now will be re-united with Dad and the rest of the family and friends that you loved. Please rest in peace. I love you mom.
