I regret that I will not be able to attend Mike's viewing or Mass.
I was a fan of Mike's Sunday "Oldies But Goodies" show for the past few years. We exchanged e-mails and I was fortunate to meet him last year at a concert. I came to regard him as a friend and a fellow lover of 'Street Corner Doo-Wop music. His willingness to go on the air the last two times demonstrated his great love for our music.
My appreciation and admiration of Mike went beyond the music though. He had great respect and concern for his listeners, especially when they were having health problems of their own.
We all lost a truely unique and special man on Friday and I will miss him for a long, long time.
My deepest condolences to his loving family, friends and all my fellow listeners.
God Speed Mike and keep them spinning my friend.

To Eileen, Annette, and John; Mike was a very special person and we will all miss him tremendously. We had many chats before the 9:00 Mass but couldn't quite solve all the world's ills, though we tried. God Bless you all and we will keep you in our prayers.
