I am so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. We met for the first time several years ago, while at my work. He announced his last name and I said that was my grandmother Esther and great-aunt Magdelen name. Knowing that the name was changed when the family came to America, I knew instantly we were related. After talking somewhat, Jim told me that he definitely knew who I was. He was such a wonderful man. We spoke several times and we went out to lunch on afternoon with my father and sister to Gallo's. he later told me his brother, Chickie had passed away the day we went out to lunch and he lived right around the corner on Solly. He gave me information about the Fonash's, including Frannie and Anita and also gave me a paper someone made up from a Fonash Reunion that was held on December 19, 2004. I told him to please invite me to one of the reunions, I'd like to meet my long lost family.. He said he would, but it never happened!

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I too lost my father 3 years ago so I understand exactly what you are going through. I only met him once but his smile and laughter will always stay with me. You are all in my hearts and prayers at this time. If you ever need to talk, please call me at 215-208-4913.
