Just discovered this site and, though late,I wish to express my deep sympathy to Kate and all of Gene's dear family. I have been praying for Gene and hearing all about the sad journey he took through ups and downs of his battle with hope and despair. I was glad for him that his loving family and close friends were a significant presence in the days leading up to his final surrender. I know that was a deep comfort to him. Though we were cousins, I never really knew Gene personally since I live so far away but, did have the pleasure of talking with him at a family wedding some years ago and meeting his lovely wife, Kate. He was a sweet spirit and I know will be greatly missed.

Thanks to the finished work of the Cross through Jesus Christ, we have the hope of a sweet joyful reunion!!

You and your family are in my prayers. I am so sorry that you have been taken away from us, though you are in a greater place.

I am saddened by the lost of Geno............ We always had a lot of fun and adventures with Geno and Katie. Those memories will keep Geno's sprite alive and well in our hearts and mind forever.

Dear Kate, Jessica, Aunt Doris, Dorrie, and Marie,

I'm so sorry I won't be able to attend Gene's services. I have always had Geneie in my prayer's and thoughts as well as all of you. I know he will be greatly missed! He is now out of his pain and in a better place. I know Uncle Gene had a glass of wine waiting for him and my dad, a joke to tell him. I will never forget the great times we had when Geneie and Scott came to VA to go to the nascar races with us. He was always so much fun to be around. We love
you all and hope to see you soon. Love cuz Vivian

We are so sorry for your loss. Our kids will miss him dearly, nothing they enjoyed more than playing with Gene's trucks and listening to him play his music. I hope that you can find some comfort during this difficult time. We are thinking of you all and are keeping you in our prayers. We are so sorry that we cannot be there but we will come and see you when we get back.

Love,
Kate, Pete, Gavin, JoJo & Maryn Jarema
