Denise M. Daly (McCarthy)

I was deeply saddened to learn of Denise's passing when my Christmas card was returned today. Denise was truly a wonderful person and friend. My heart goes out to Douglas, Sarah, Rebecca, and Elisabeth -- Mommy will always be your guardian angel! Rest in peace my old friend~

I just heard about your passing and i couldn't believe it you were the best teacher ever!!! I don't know how i would have gotten through some of the tough times without your support! I love you Mrs. Daly rest in peace!

Former Student HW Class of 2006

My son and I just completed this years Philadelphia Komen 3-Day Walk for the Cure. Gerritt, a senior at Hamilton High West was Ms. Daly's student during his sophomore year. She was not only his teacher but his mentor as well. They shared many lunch periods together. Since I was participating in the 2009 Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day and Ms Daly was actively going through the worst of her therapy Gerritt felt a connection to her situation. During August while working on a Komen fundraiser he received a phone call about Ms. Daly passing. It goes without saying how upset he was that she lost her battle. I told him he was doing all he could by walking and raising money to end this horrific disease. He then decided he would walk for Ms. Daly and wear her name on his dedication sign.
We are very sorry for your lose and will keep Denise in our prayers until we one day meet again in Christ our Lord and Savior.

My brother told me Mrs.daly had passed away but I didn't believe him m! Then I came across this page :( oh my god I can't believe what I'm reading... She was mine's, my brother's and my sister's teacher ... I still remember all the conversations I had with her ... I can't believe she's gone ... :'( I still remember her beautiful smile... She was always such a happy person. You'll be missed Mrs.daly.
