Mr.D was a cool guy i got to know him very well while i was in grade school hanging around his house or going out to eat or something fun, he taught me many things whether it be respecting my elders, shooting a foul shot, or proper english (like is not a word) his family is my second home and he was like a parent to me i really just wana say im gonna miss him and hopefully one day we can meet again and have another good talk like we usually did.

This loss cut deeply into my heart. I spoke to him nearly everyday from my freshmen year to my senior year. He truly changed my life and I wouldn't be who I am today without his guidance. I still in hard and doubtful times remember his voice saying to me " I'm not the smartest man, I'm of average intelligence but I am among the hardest working. You can be a genius, but a lazy genius is a waste of genius." and " Never cut corners, go above and beyond, never sell yourself for less than your potential." I also still have my years old notebooks from my freshmen and sophomore years whose notes I read regarding his opinions of my work that was truthful, trustworthy, and encouraging. The worst loss is to all of those whom didn't have the wonderful opportunity to have a great educator change their lives. Wishing the best in wherever the afterlife may have taken you.---Mrs Buck
