I grew up on the same the street as Dr. Cannon and his family, and played with his two youngest daughters. He was one of the kindest men I knew as a child, and always made me feel welcome in his home. His presence will be missed on Sorrel Lane.

Dear Family of Dr. Cannon,

Many years ago, back in 1961, my father had the good fortune of being referred to Dr. Cannon for treatment of a detached retina. Your Dad, I beleive, just came back from Germany after being trained on a 'new' lazer. Your Dad saved some of my Dad's eyesight. I remember his office on Spruce St. He always had pictures of "his girls", and even samples of your artwork. After we left your Dad's office, we would then walk to your Uncle Joe's office and get the prescription filled. Since I shared a name with one of you he always kept me informed of his "Maureen". We remained patients of your Dad for many years until we moved from the area. Recently I had surgery for a detached retina and the Doctor who operated was taught by your Dad.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your Dad was a wonderful, faith filled man who is with his beloved wife and our Lord and Savior. Thank you for sharing him with his many grateful patients.

Gratefully,

Maureen Kane Kutys

Joanne and family:

I was so sad to get this news about your dad....what a wonderful, kind and gentle man. Words are so difficult at this time, but what an accomplished life professionally and more importantly personally. I know how dearly he is loved and pray that you all can have peace knowing he is together with your mom. With love and sympathy Maria Abbonizio Cassidy.
