Susan L. Miller (Radwell)

Sunday, October 7th | Comment by: Susan Radwell (Susan's Mother_

Our daughter Kim, (Susan's sister) just put this on my timeline because one of Susan's students wrote this today and I just HAD to share this because it was so up lifting.
Below are Susan's students words:

I just had to share this FB message I received today from someone I don't even know. I am deleting names, but I think it should remind us all, during these tumultuous times, that what we do EVERY day is important. We have no way of knowing where our influence as teachers stop.

Hi Kim
I'm XXXXX I was a student of your sisters with XXXXXX.
I was talking to XXXX saying that I would love to see Mrs. Miller show her the family that I have. Seeing that she had let me be a part of her family when I was young.

XXXX has told me the news about your sister's passing. I am so sorry; she was a very influential part of my life. She is the reason I am the husband and father I am, and the reason I look at life the way I do, as a kid I might not have gotten what she was trying to teach me, but I do now.

I was going to ask where she was laid to rest to pay my respects. But I don't think I could bring my self to go.
She was the best teacher I could ever have asked for but I don't need to tell you that.

Tell your mom and dad I said hi they should remember me.

Sorry if my letter brings some sadness.
Just know that she helped make me the loving father and husband I am today.
I would not be where I am today without having had her as my teacher; I will always remember, and pass along to my own children her little life lessons.

Mom, it was a young man named Colt and he was friends with Marc D.

I went to high school with Sue. I wasn't extremely friendly with her but we chitchatted every now and then. She was always friendly and cheerful whenever she talked to me. One time she was running for a student government position and there was an assembly when she was gave a speech. She was wearing long, dangling earrings and a dress. One kid said she thought she was the teacher. I was thinking the same thing.

I am so sad to hear the news of Susan's passing. I went to Cheltenham High school with Sue. She always made me laugh and always had a smile. Thank you Sue for giving me such fond memories. Deepest sympathy and prayers are sent to her husband, kids and family.
