Jack Callender Sr.

Jack was a good friend to both of us. Had we not gone to a Newman K. Perry reunion we would have never met him and Margie. His acceptance of the Youngsters has kept us going year after year. He will be sadly missed by us as we have lost a great friend. We'll think of him often as we attend reunions that he welcomed us at every time that he was there.

We are so sorry to hear of Jack's passing, and the passing of your son. We will keep you all in our prayers.

Margie and family,
A huge void has been created by Jack's passing, but a larger space has been filled in heaven. Jack was such an inspiration to us at Orson UMC--his ready smile, sense of humor, but more importantly, his love of the Lord and Savior which showed by the exemplary Christian life he lived.
Please know you will continue to be lifted up in prayer.

WHERE IS MY FRIEND JACK?
IN MY MIND, I KNOW HE WILL NOT BE BACK.

BUT IN MY HEART, HE IS ALWAYS NEAR.
MY FRIEND, MY BROTHER, IS GONE FROM HERE.

I WILL SEE HIM AT THE LAKE NEXT SPRING.
IN THE AFTERNOON, HE WILL BE IN THE BACKYARD SITTING ON HIS SWING.

IN THE EVENING, HE WILL BE SITTING AT THE LAKESIDE BY THE FIRE.
HE WILL BE EATING POOR MAN’S NUTS AND SERVING ANY DRINK YOU DESIRE.

IN THE MORNING HE WILL CALL AND WE WILL GO TO CHUCK’S TO EAT.
ANYONE ELSE WHO SEES HIM THERE WILL COME BY AND HAVE A SEAT.

ON THURSDAYS, YOU WILL FIND JACK AND “THE GANG” AT LAKEWOOD TALKING ABOUT LOTS OF THINGS.
YOU WILL HEAR THE LAUGHTER AND JACK WILL BE EATING HIS FAVORITE, WINGS.

WHENEVER I HEAR LAUGHTER, I WILL KNOW JACK IS AROUND,
BECAUSE HE HAD A WAY OF MAKING ME SIMILE IF I WAS DOWN.

MY LOSS CAN NEVER BE REPLACED, HE WAS ONLY ONE OF A KIND.
I WILL NEVER MEET ANOTHER JACK, A TRUER FRIEND I WILL NEVER FIND.

ANYONE WHO KNEW JACK WILL FEEL THE IMPACT OF HIS LOSS AND HIS BELOVED SON.
MAY WE ALL HAVE COMFORT KNOWING THEIR NEW LIFE TOGETHER HAS JUST BEGUN.

Marge and family,
I will fondly remember Jack's laugh as it carried around the neighborhood at Wrighter Lake. My thoughts are with you at this time.
