Jules, I will always remember your contributions to the Karpatendeutsche Landsmannschaft and the stories I heard about my father and yours when they tried to escape from a Czechoslovakian prison. The escape had been planned and one day the opportunity arose. They took off one night and walked through the forest, over mountains but by morning, they were right back at the front gate of the prison. My dad never talked about this. Thank you for telling me about my dad. We will miss you old friend.

Jules my friend, I will miss you, the work together arranging for the Karpaten affairs, the monthly lunches at the Austrian Village, the "Aubntrampchen" at your home, most though the camaraderie, born about 5 mile apart, attending the same gymnasium, all the hours of reminiscing mostly in our special
Zipser dialect. Fare well Friend.

Jules,
You were a very good man. Devotion to your family was your hallmark. It was tremendous. So was your generosity which extended to your friends and colleagues. Thank you for treating me as a friend and having a chance to know you. I will be among the many people who will miss you.
