Dear Wittig Family -
Brian was my supervisor at Cooper Lighting and I could not have asked for a better mentor. He cared about his employess as individuals, challenged us,and proved that it was possible to have balance between family and work. Many will mourn his death and I will always remember what a true gentleman he was. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
Warm regards,
Kim Daley

Dear Herman and the entire Wittig family, please accept my heartfelt condolences to you all. This has taken us all by storm as we were not aware that Brian was facing this life threatening challenge.
Certainly I will mourn his loss and want to convey my deep sadness to Eileen, Brian, Kevin, Rene, and Christopher. What a sad event to lose such a wonderful husband and father.
The year 2011 has been a rough one for our entire family.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers, Ed

Brian was a friend and mentor to me at Cooper Lighting. I always admired his professionalism and ability to inspire others by his own example. I'm truly saddened by his loss and pray that his memory will continue to live in the many he touched.

Eileen and family,
Many of us who worked with Brian heard him speak with enthusiasm, pride, support, and commitment about each of you throughout the years. Though I was a professional associate and not family in a literal sense, Brian's commitment to my development (and that of many others) was much the same: steadfast, encouraging, and with a parental pride in our evolving accomplishments.
As our careers took us in different directions, Brian remained connected and interested. Most recently, he spoke of how important it was to have each of you doing so well. And he relished his role as grandfather.
Know that Brian's contributions were meaningful to many and that the legacy of those connections remains in our thoughts and in our lives.
I am sorry that he left so soon.
