As I waited in line tonight to pay respects, thus me leaving my 11 year old daughter at home by herself, given my wife couldn't alter her plans to fly back from Chicago, and after seeing the hundreds and hundreds of people who came to honor this person, I knew I'd be okay in staying and my 11 year old daughter texted me "Dad, I am fine, it's okay, it's the right thing to do, and we need to pray for him and the family."

I never met Cullen, and only know his dad because he and I know each other from the Lookaway Family, but judging from the emotion I experienced from the mourners, and the sheer abundance of people who came to pay respect to this young man, I feel I was cheated for not getting a chance to meet him.

As for words for his family, there are none to negate the pain, but knowing that a 15 year old child affected so many people in a positive way, he will always live on. I didn't know him at all, but seeing all those people coming out to honor him will make me think of him forever.

It's a funny thing, I never met the kid, but how he touched so many people, I will never forget him.

Although we never really met Cullen we know what a wonderful boy he was from all the comments we heard from others over the years. You two are beautiful people and were wonderful as parents we are sure. We are so sorry for your loss and can not imagine the grief you are experiencing. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
