I only wish I had known, Kim. We could have gathered one last time for laughs and reflections on the many days of hard work and triumph. I am so sorry to lose you like this. It seems so unfair. This obituary is so fitting and accurate. You filled everyone’s hearts with your smile and your ever-present, kind nature. And your talent was boundless. Like most people with this kind of talent, you never needed to use a self-promoting horn to draw attention to it. I did not know you, David, or you, Mr. and Mrs. Marcheski, and your other loved ones. I had the honor of working with Kim for a short few years in the late 1990s, when she righted the design of one of our key magazines at what was then BCI. She added her flair and vision to many works in the years to follow. I know that you must be grieving profoundly at this hour. You and Kim are in our thoughts and prayers.
