Condolences for
Donald E. Kocher

I had Mr. Kocher in 9th grade as my science teacher. To this day I tell my kids, “ be observant”. He taught me that and it’s helped me throughout my life. Many people pass through your life but few people leave a mark on your soul, he did that to me. Thank you for crossing my path Mr. Kocker.

I had Mr. Kocher for 9th grade science 40 years ago.He was the most colorful teacher I ever had, and I have quoted many of his comments, views and imitations through the years. His passion for learning and teaching was amazing and I never see a rainbow without thinking of his infamous ROYGBIV. He was a special man, a solid teacher and a fascinating individual.

When I was just a baby my mother and dad and I lived in the Kocher house for a while. Though I was too young then to remember the Kocher kids I'm sure it helped to create a special bond between our families. Don stood out as one who could pull jokes on you and create lots of fun.

I enjoyed Mr. Kocher as my Sunday School teacher at DPC.
