Anne Marie Slocum Favorite of Holland, died peacefully on June 1, 2012 at Neshaminy Manor, Warrington, PA after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was 61.
She was the beloved wife of 39 years to Paul Douglas Favorite, Sr.
Born in 1951, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Edward and Anna Marie Hickey Slocum.
Anne Marie was a resident of Holland since 1979. She was a graduate of Archbishop Wood High School, class of 1968 and a graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Trenton, NJ. Her professional career was all too short. She worked for Grandview Hospital and Abington Hospital and several Nursing Homes in the area before her illness challenged her ability.
Anne Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and the times they traveled together especially their trips to the New Jersey shore. She was a faithful communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Holland. No matter how challenged Anne Marie was, she always had a positive outlook on things and worked hard at always being positive. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted family.
She is survived by her son and daughter; Paul Douglas Favorite, Jr. and his wife Canice, and Christine Marie Favorite, as well as her brother Joseph Slocum Jr. and his wife Susan, her sisters Margaret Mary Case and her husband Joseph, Joann Slocum and Barbara Slocum. She is also survived by nieces Taylor Case Quigg, Randyl Case and Austin Case.
Anne Marie’s family will recieve condolences on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, from 9:30am until her Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966.
Interment is at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
