Marjorie R. Boaman, formerly of New Britain, PA, died peacefully on Monday, June 25, 2012, at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. She was 82.
She was the beloved wife of James A. Boaman for 61 years.
Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Agnes Barto Hawk.
Marjorie was a resident of Dublin for a year after moving from New Britain where she was a resident for 25 years. She graduated from Reading Central Catholic High School, Class of 1947 and obtained her nursing degree in 1950 from St. Joseph School of Nursing located in Reading. She spent her nursing career at St. Joseph Hospital and also private nursing duty.
Marjorie devoted her life to her family and she left a profound and positive impact on all those she knew and met with her zest for life. She was a devoted Catholic, an avid gardener, enjoyed reading, and conquering cross word puzzles.
Marjorie especially loved family get-togethers, she looked forward to family vacations at the Jersey Shore, and road trips where she and Jim could serendipitously discover and explore new places.
Marjorie had a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and a quick wit that endeared her to everyone who knew her. Her family and everyone that knew her are far richer for having her in their lives. Marge was so dearly loved by her family and they will forever miss her beauty, her smile, her humor, her wisdom, and her loving ways. She lived a beautiful life and has left a legacy of love, kindness, and strength in her wake.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her four children, Cheryl R. Grubb of Hatfield, James P. Boaman and his wife, Elaine, of Fair Haven, NJ, Susan J. Wisler and her husband, Keith, of Doylestown, and David W. Boaman and Andrea Dunn of Phoenixville, PA. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, June 28, 2012, from 9:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914.
Interment will take place at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
