Diane Cunnane Whitman of Southampton, PA died peacefully on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 68.

She was the beloved wife of James V. Whitman for 9 years.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas T. and Antoinette Leone McClelland and mother-in-law of the late Eugene Visco.

Diane has been a resident of Southampton for the past 36 years. She graduated in 1961 form Northeast High School and entered into beautician’s school. She started working as a hairdresser in 1962 and retired in 2011 after working at Second Glance Beauty Salon in Warminster, PA for many years. Diane was a family oriented woman who loved to take trips to the beach with her family. She also enjoyed playing tennis and dancing. She will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love her.

In addition to her husband James, Diane is survived by her loving children; James W. Cunnane III of Southampton, Kelly Ann Skidmore and her husband, Mark, of Richboro, and Lee Maria Visco of Feastervile and her step-children, James Whitman Jr. and Jaclyn Whitman. She is also survived by her sister, Dolores Bowe of Doylestown and her 6 grandchildren, Brooke, Jordan, Devon, Megan, Matthew, and Tripp.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings on Thursday, July 12, 2012, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and on Friday July 13, 2012 from 8:30 — 9:15AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 and to her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954.

Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 12265 Townsend Rd. Phila., PA 19154 or to the Breathing Room Foundation, 120 S York Rd # 7, Hatboro, PA 19040.
