Bernice “Bea” Chambers of Churchville passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at her home. She was surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was 75.
She was the beloved wife of 53 years to John P. Chambers.
Born in Philadelphia, Bernice was the daughter of the late Domenico and Mary Gitto Triolo.
Bernice attended St. Mary the Eternal School in Philadelphia and continued her studies at All Souls Business School. Along with her husband she was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Richboro since its inception. She was extremely involved with the church as part of many committees and she taught CCD for many years. Bea was also very active with the Monica Prayer Group with whom she prayed each Wednesday.
Bea’s first priority has always been her family. She was skilled at knitting and crocheting, always sharing her creations with those around her. She was an excellent cook and nothing made her happier than preparing delicious meals for her family enjoy.
Above all else Bea will be remembered for her generous and kind spirit. Her family will be forever grateful for the fine example of strength and courage and her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband, Bernice is survived by her children Lisa Bornaschella and her husband, Guy, Terri Cunningham, Maria Tilsner and her husband, Steve, John Chambers Jr., and Christina Stromberg and her husband, David; her adoring grandchildren, Shannon Grill (Matt), Kristen and Sean Cunningham, Bill, Tony, Gina, and Angela Bornaschella, Jessica and Steven Tilsner, Maxwell, Adelaide, and Willow Bea Stromberg, Shawn, Eric, Breanna and Hailey Chambers; and her great grandchildren, Cole Cunningham and Holden Grill. She also leaves behind five sisters; one brother and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Brian Cunningham.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 9:00 AM until her funeral mass 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954.
The interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
